For my surprise, when arriving at the hotel they had not received previously any communication from Venere.com about my reservation. To solve it, I had to buy a USD 5,00 Internet access ticket to access my email and print my reservation because, according to them, they had no internal computer with internet access...

the experience was great, the staff was very attentive to our needs and comfort. the apperance of the hotel was excellent and the room was a pleasant stay. the only small issue seemed to be the water in the shower changed from very hot to very cold....otherwise, everything was great! i would definitely stay there again.

The hotel and staff were very nice and the activity pool was fun. The pool layout was awesome and but got shaded after lunch. There were several good choices at dinner and liked that they stocked the fridge with drinks daily.

The Barcela room we had was comfortable and roomy. Ocean view was gorgeous. Staff was friendly and helpful. The air conditioning unit could have worked better, was a bit on the warm side. Activities were great fun and included all ages. The hetel staff made our visit. Some of the beach front lost in recent hurricane. Ocean and pool temperatures great. Nightly shows were fun, entertaining, and appeakled to all age groups. The three pools allowed for no crowding, though get your umbrella early. Spa was fairly resonable and gave a great massage. Mall just accross the street allowed for great shopping.

Excellent location, great food and drinks and plenty of activities and entertainment. The entire staff were very professional and eager to please. Beds could be a bit more comfortable, but aside from that, wonderful accomodations. And three pools. Hard to beat for the price. One of the cheaper all inclusive resorts in Cancun.

Would not stay here again! Lies-Stretch the truth on their website on what they provide. They will restock of mini-bar if you ask 3 times (each day). As for activities, they don't have equipment but they will assist you in setting up activity tours (you pay for) and encourage you to go away all day. Four restaurants, but they are not all open each day. They pounce on you as you arrive, unfortunately not to be helpful, but to set you up to go for an all-day "time-share" lecture. Seriously... it's vacation and it's all inclusive. I wanted to relax, eat at the resort and have activies, NOT be pushed away. If you need concierge assistance, you must see the representative of your booking agency. You will not be helped.

This was our second visit to Barcelo Tucancun Beach and we liked the amenities. Especially, the minibar in the room with snacks and drinks that was part of the all-inclusive plan. All of the staff were more than pleasant and the pools were well kept. Only caveat is that the hotel lost there beach that they had two years ago and I do wish that I was made aware of this before I booked with them again. They used to have a large beach area that is now only a couple of inches from the wall.

It was a wonderful place for spring break with your teens. Good food, great pools, needed a little more activities, but other than that it was very nice. I'd take my family again!!!!

this was the second time we used this hotel. last year it wasn't bad for the price. this year it went downhill. there are many other hotels around. i suggest going to one of them. the rooms are not very clean. the food has no variety. they advertise 4 rest. but not all are available . the air conditioning did not work and the shower alternated every 30 seconds from scalding hot to freezing cold.the outside was well kept and the beach is beautiful so i do recommend cancun but i would look for one of the many hotels other than this one.

Hotel staff is great...except for the housekeepers. I had read that the room safes were not actually that safe, so I instead had my wallet very well-hidden deep within a hidden pocket in my suitcase. I later discovered that my suitcase had been completely rummaged through and all my cash was stolen. They didn't take a very expensive watch, camera, ipod, etc. Just cash. Other than that, it was a very positive experience. I recommend tipping the bartenders by the pool for a HUGE improvement in service. I had never been treated rudely or ignored, but after giving the bartender $10, I never had to go up to the bar again. My drinks were brought to me across the pool and refilled without ever having to ask. Great enthusiastic activities staff.

We had a very nice stay at the Barcelo. It was our first trip to Cancun, and the location was perfect for us.There is a mall right in front of the hotel, and another mall within waling distance.A bus trip to downtown is only .65. The rooms were nice. The vanity was separate from the stool and shower. The fridge wasn't very cold but there was an ice machine down the hall. We had an oceanview room that was nice. The pool areas at this hotel were wonderful. There were always plenty of lounge chairs facing a BEAUTIFUL ocean! The food in the buffets was o.k.The mexican restraunt was good, but you had to make reservations in the morning for that evening even if they were not busy. The menu was small but the food was good. There is also a seafood restraunt and a spanish buffet and a regular buffet. The food was not outstanding but good.We stayed on the second floor and there was a terrible musty odor in the hallway all week, but not in our room.We were very comfortable and would definetly recommend this hotel

the resort was a great value for the money. everyone was terrific, the facilities were immaculate and the food was consistently excellent. my college buddy and i spent 4 days relaxing, and had no problems with the resort. mexican restaurant was by far the best. spainish don quixote rest. was also a good choice. fresh fruit every day, mini bar in room. would definitely go again, maybe even bring the wives.

The hotel reception staff was awful. There was a complete and utter lack of customer service and empathy. They simply did not care. It was obvious that this was not only my opinion but from the angry outbursts I heard from the other people it was apparent that it was the consensus. The pools and the beach are were great and kept very clean. Both rooms we had were very nice and the room service did a good job. There was always a restaurant available between 8 am and 10:30 pm. But, don't expect fabulously rich and delicious food. The food is meant to please all ranges of appetites so it was very bland in most cases. The fruit was good, they had cereal and yogurt, and the snack bar was not bad since most of the food was pre-packaged (i.e. pizza, fries, hanburgers, hot dogs). Its hard to mess that up. If that didn't suit your needs there were plenty of restaurants in the mall next door. The drinks were not very strong.
