The entertainment was great poolside. There were fun activities all day long to participate in, beach volleyball, water baloon fight, pool areobics, trivia contests etc. Night entertainment was fun too. For couples and single, there was a bus to the strip each night. Rooms had a kitchenette with refring and microwave for snacking. Overall, you can relax on the beach with shade trees or in the sun or up by the pool. When it gets hot,you can swim right up to the bar in the pool to have a nice tropical cocktail. Everything was great, and the price was excellent for this all inclusive.

Once you are here they got you! Expect to pay a lot for the crap that they throw at you. We had reservations for 1 week - had to stay one night. We ended up staying up at the Holiday inn Express on Pok ta Pok - with excellent experiances. We had rented a car (- it takes a while to get used to the driving - but get the insurance) so we escaped. The Front desk staff were very rude and they did the old bait and switch between packages. We had to stay one night because of our late arrival - We got all inclusive - Basic which included cheap bar drinks and an awful breakfast Buffet. Elevators are non existant in this hotel and the rooms were spartan with an uncomfortable bed and pillow on the second floor - beware the bathroom is on the first floor. The facility was in relatively poor - very used condition. h e internet access was 5 per hr. The hotel is a very long way from the hotel zone requiring expensive taxi's or a long bus ride. Do youself a favor - Book elseware and understand what the charges will be and have it in writing and keep a copy with you when you check in. Also, Avoid the time share hawks like the plague especially at the airport or under the guise of a hotel conciorge. There is also a Wal Mart Discount store in downtown Cancun where you can pick up disoount souvinirs drinks and food. I wish that i would have paid attention to the other negative reviews as they were correct. I do not understand how anybody could have rated this place a positive one.

Where do I begin? We thought this was a clean family oriented hotel, we were so terribly wrong. We traveled to this hotel on April 10th and had a late flight in, checked in at 10pm, first off, after a flight that was delayed from Newark, we were hungry and expected the 24 room service the description boasted, NOT SO! We were offered hot dogs and stale nachos and were told that everything else was closed and we were out of luck for the night until morning. As I waited with my 2 month old baby in the sweltering lobby we were told there were no elevators to our room which was all the way on the other side and on the top floor. Anyway, we got to our room and I was so grossed out. The bathroom was so NASTY and there was no air conditioner in the room, it was sticky and muggy. With no other choice for the night we proceeded to try an settle in. I literally closed my eyes when i went into the shower because it was so gross. We were told all the rooms were the same when we requested another room for the rest of our stay. Well, it only got worse, when we went to bed, I was itching the entire night! My baby had bugs crawling on her and we developed rashes from the bed. I prayed for morning to come. When we got up my husband said we need to get out of here, we complained to the manager who assured us we would not be charged for the night after he saw the filthy pillows and dirty room. Still looking for refund. The breakfast buffet was horrible. As we ate, water dripped on our table from the ceiling.

The Blue Bay Club and marina was to me a very family oriented hotel, with many activities and games to choose from. Actually, there were so many activities to choose from, that you could stay there all day and not have to go anywhere to enjoy your time there. The staff and the local people were extremely friendly in every way. As far as food is concerned, it was very delightful and always fresh. The rooms were always spotless and had fresh linen daily. This hotel was very delightful and peaceful. The only down side is that it was a little far away from the airport and downtown, but was still not a problem getting there. For our first time there, it was fabulous, and has definitely convinced us to return soon.

We stayed for 5 days and with in the first hour we was ready to go. The pictures are very deseving the resort looks and smells very old, balconies are shared if you are on the first floor. You have a choice between on restaurant a day not the 3 or 4 they mention, the buffet has 5 items on it, one restaurant is very good (Ostras) but you can only eat there once during your stay. The grill only serves hot dogs and hamburgers durning the day and the one night they have dinner you choose between 5 pasta dishes. Drinks are horrible and are served in elementary school small plastic cups. I had a dirty towel folded up in my room. College dorm size ironing board. Food was cold most of the time. No alcohol selection at all and drinks are watered down, 1 kind of beer poured in a kiddie cup from a bottle not cold at all. Beach full of seaweed and rocks can't walk on it. The beach is narrow and nothing to do on the resort. Key to the room was a regular key on a rope (now thats old). The fridge was suppose to be stocked it was empty the entire stay. No disco as listed, no theme nights. Mosquitos in our room lots of them every where. Food is recycled from lunch and dinner. Had a few dirty cups served to us. No late night snacks available. Just not really clean. The staff was the best thats the only good thing I have to say about this resort. It is very frar from everything we took the bus downtown and to hotel zone everyday thats the area you should stay in. We talk to other familes that agreed.

This place is great for families. The main issue is that it is SO FAR from the hotel zone. The drive includes passing through some dangerous looking areas. The water is not as blue at this hotel as at the hotels on the strip.

The Blue Bay Club had very friendly and helpful staff that helped us make the best use of our money when checking out local attractions. The bellboy and other staff suggested taking the ferry to the island and this was much cheaper than a tour. It's great that there is some kind of food available at all times in case you are hungry. The pools were great, and it was so relaxing and quiet laying out on the ocean. This was definitely a relaxing getaway and The Blue Bay Club is a great place to go if you want to experience Cancun but not necessarily the party scene (though there are nightly trips avaiable to the local clubs with the hotel entertainment staff). We really enjoyed the evening entertainment (Casino, celebrity variety show, etc.). There are great activities for the kids. The only real downside for the hotel was that it was farther outside of the hotel zone than we thought it would be, and driving to it gave us a bit of un-ease at first.

This is a wonderful family site. The kids left the first morning for kids club and didn't want to come back. They met friends right away, did crafts, played video games and spent time in the pool all with the kids club staff. The beach was wonderful for walking or swimming. The pool was designed with children in mind. The buffets were perfect for the family and the menus changed every meal. We were expecting to be tired of the food before we left but the contrary was true. The food tasted good and there was a good variety. The resort is a distance from the hotel zone, but since we ate and drank at the facility it didn't matter to us. We liked being more private than the busy hotel zone area, the beach was not crowded and we always found a deck chair. They had lots of evening activities as well, so we really didn't need to go anyplace else. I highly recommend this facility to anyone traveling with kids who want freedom and fun in a way that make you feel safe. It was relaxing for all of us. It is a great value too.
