We unexpectedly had to stay in Mexico City two nights with our infant and this hotel was a lifesaver. Being attached to the airport was so much easier than taking our son in the taxis. With a nursing infant I stayed in the room and used room service. The food was great and the staff was very helpful and most spoke adequate english. My husband was dealing with customs for us and the airport being across the street and taxi service there being reliable made this very convenient. Expensive but very safe and very pleasent.

Excellent location, friendly people, only two details: internet was lousy and the last day they cut off the energy due to some repairs and did not ave good back up.

If you are going to Mexico City to view the visual art, the Camino Real is the place to stay. The famed Mexican architect, Ricardo Leggoretta, has created a spatially fascinating hotel, with areas of light and color that must be experienced and which do not translate into catalogues or two dimensional photographs. His architecture, plus the Rufino Tomayo mural and other works of art inside the hotel, made this a premier trip for me and my daughter.

Very helpful staff, all the required business amenities. Several very good in house dining choices as well as 24 hour room service that is creditable....for those times when you don't have time to relax in the dining room.

I visited the Camino Real recently, and I must say I am really pleased with the quality of service and overall facilities. Whether on business or leisure the Camino Real is a great option for staying at Mexico City. It is nestled in a safe neighborhood with easy access to the many attractions around town.

The room was large with outdoor terraza. I could hear the birds singing outside. It was a nice surprise in the heart of Mexico City. The marble bathroom was impressing. the pool was large and beautiful and the service was nice but somewhat expensive, very typical of grand Mexican hotels of this caliber. The fitness room reminded me of the best hotels in Asia such as the Shangrila in Singapore, and the Regent in Thailand. I ordered pasta from Vicis and it was the best room service food I ever had. Again, on the expensive side but worth it. On the deficient side, no ice on both of the ice makers on the 3rd floor and no towels left in the room after cleaning. I called and no towels. I had to look for the maid and she gave me some towels.

We recently stayed at the Camino Real on vacation and were impressed by the design of the hotel. Our room was larger than what you normally find in a big city hotel and the service was good. Since we had a low rate, they put us in the rooms closest to the street so try to get a room further in the hotel if you can. Once the front desk saw we had the Travelcoty rate, we were assessed a US11 per day service fee so don't be surprised. The services included paper, Internet access, parking (?) and late check out. All in all, a great hotel for exploring the city.

Camino Real Mexico City stay was very pleasent because the hotel really is an oasis in the middle of a very busy and noisy modern city. The large scale of the spaces make it seem you are in your own personal hacienda. I was in the hotel when it opened and keep coming back after 40 years. The architecture is modern today as it was in 1968.

Camino Real was so beautiful! The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Houskeeping always kept it so clean and the staff at the hotel were so gracious and hospitable. For the most part, English was spoken by all the staff, but if tehre was a problem with translation, someone was always available to assist. Hotel dining was great and accomodating for late nights. We arrived at 11:00 pm and still had a number of choices from the restaurants within the hotel. There are great little restaurants surrounding the hotel--just inexpensive local fare. there is a little cafe accross the street, that has great breakfast! the location is good, but not super near Zocalo. The closest subway station is not so close...but taxis abound. Just a note the price difference of taxis hailed from the hotel lobby and the ones hailed from the street is huge. overall, very satisfied with teh camino real...oh, and the Margaritas are out of this world!!!

The camino real hotel, was ver comfortable, so close to the big avenues and museums. the restaurants are very good, and you have a big selection of them in your hotel.

The hotel was very good for business people. My wife and I didn't like the room because of the noise aroun the room, the bed was too small, the room was ugly also. The hotel staff was great and very courteus. The restaurants were marvelous.

El Camino Real was a very well located hotel for my first business visit to the city. The service in the hotel was excelent. The rooms were very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had marble floors and very well decorated.

The Camino Royal, Mexico City was a wonderful surprise. We had an inside room overlooking the courtyard with the pool in the centre. It had a great balcony. The concierge was very helpful in getting us tickets to a soccer game at Mexico City's Aztec city. My 14-yr. old son enjoyed the game very much. All the staff were friendly, helpful and fun to interact with. There was convenient bus service just outside the front entrance which took us to the subway. We went everywhere on the very clean, efficient subway (cheap!). Taxis also were readily available. I hope to visit this hotel again.

Camino Real has great restaurants and good ambiance. But, Hotel services from reception desk to porters are very poor. The room I stayed in was very small
