Excellent hotel! Downtown location on a quiet and seemingly safe street, charming Mexican decorations, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff, tasty breakfast. Perfect place to stay in Mexico City!

Fantastic location! We were initially booked into a suite overlooking the courtyard and other buildings but were able to switch to a very nice room overlooking the plaza. This is an older building that has been maintained well and it is in a superb location that is very central to everything. Easy walk to local restaurants and metro stops, frequent cabs and safe.

This was my first ever trip to Mexico City, and I have to say that Casa De La Condesa was an excellent choice for a hotel !!! The rooms are incredibly clean, and for the most part comfortable. Only issue was hot water for the first couple of days however that was resolved! The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant and for the most part could speak english! I highly recommend this Hotel to any one looking for an inexpensive place to stay while visiting Mexico City !

Wow! All I can say is a few dollars will get you a lot more. I was charged extra for a full sized bed, not a king mind you. a full sized bed! The ceiling fell in in the bathroom, The water stoped working in the shower completly and we got cold water only for two days. The people were nice and all but little things we have here in America makes you wonder why we even visit any where else...

The room was comfortable, had a mini kitchen and a couch. The breakfast service was disorganized and slow but the food was good. An Italian restaurant down the block was fabulous. If you ask for a taxi at the front desk you will get an unmarked car and the driver is a buddy of the desk clerk. It will cost about 30 pesos more than the taxi you get at the airport to take you to the hotel and it is not allowed in the taxi area. I would definitely stay there again but get my own taxi.

The Casa de la Condesa is a great boutique hotel. It was centrally located in a beautiful historical neighborhood near great cafes and cultural centers. I had a great view of the plaza and fountains. The staff was very helpful and friendly and I felt very safe there which was important to me as I was traveling alone. The room was a good size although the dcor was a bit outdated but it was very clean and provided everything I needed in including a kitchenette, sofa, balcony, security safe, hair dryer and iron. I loved that it was near many of the places I wanted to visit and transportation was very accessible.

Just got back from Mex and stayed at this hotel. While not the Ritz, the hotel was a bargin. We arrived on a Sunday and thought we were in the middle of a trash dump! When we went out Monday morning there was not a piece of paper to be seen. The area is in the middle of a revival area. It is close to the Paseo Reforma and Insurgentes intersection and it is easy to catch a bus to any where you want to go. Just make sure you have change. One-two pesos will get you there. It is an interesting walk to the Zocalo, 15 minutes. There is a OXXO at the corner of Paris and Madrid with decent prices. Also, on Paris there are many places to eat. Breakfast seems to begin around 9:30+ A.M. This hotel gave us the opportunity to spend more on us. Staff is friendly and speaks a little English. We had no problems. There is a Sanborns shopping mall across the Reforma for any fast food you might want to have. We use this hotel again. Book trans. from the airport to the hotel. There is a guy outside the hotel. He is friendly, speaks good English and can be helpful. Don't be afraid of the way he looks.

Cas De La Condesa in the Colonia Roma neighborhood of Mexico City is a pleasant and attractive lodging ten minutes from the Zona Rosa. The staff is attentive and accomodating. The area is pretty, with a park with fountains across from the hotel entrance. There are many restaurants and bars nearby and the hotel has easy access to taxis. The restaurant is in a covered courtyard with a fountain and lush greenery, a very pleasant place to have breakfast in the morning. It is a charming and reasonably priced place to stay in Mexico City.

On my 3rd trip to Mexico City I ended up at this small apartment converted hotel (I use this term lightly). Room was small, no cable with a 14 inch TV & no heater in January. Had to ask receptionist for a small space heater which did nothing to the room heat.

The hotel does not look like anything you can see on the pictures on the web! Outdated, crampy rooms. Stay somewhere else is my advice!

During my stay staff were great, liked the fact they spoke some English. We had some initial problems with hot water and some repairs but out flexibilty won out and the rest of the time was great. The neighborhood felt secure, the internet worked, and the local restaurant should learn to cook with garlic. Overall, great time.

This is a great place to stay. The location of the hotel is amazing, on a beautiful saure with beautiful trees and water fountains. What impressed me most was the friendliness of the staff. They went above and beyond what was expected and were extremely kind and courteous.

Casa de la Condesa exceeded my expectations in every way. The room was comfortable and had a very nice view of the fountain. The staff was always willing to answer our questions and get us to where we wanted to go. Everyone was very kind and courteous. I will definitely go back and will take my family along as well.

I would rate this hotel as average, one of the biggest concerns for me was that the main door in the room id not have an adecuate lock for security. The TV on the high stand was also uncomfortable... and the shower head was much too big for the shower... No big complaints, only details that made my stay a bitt uncomfortable.

From: Brendan Clifford, United States

Nice small hotel on a quiet plaza in the Roma neighborhood. Most rooms are mini-suites with a kitchnette. Only disadvantage is the nearest metros are about 10-15 minutes away in reputedly slightly dodgy areas (at night). However, the Insurgentes metro is only a little farther away. Easy walk to Av. Alvaro Obregon or in another direction to Condesa neighborhood. Recommended for budget travellers or those seeking longer term accommodation.
