My family has been traveling to this same hotel for over 20 years now. My parents have a time share and stayed in a suite. My husband and I stayed in a regular room. The rooms are just ok. They could really use some decorating tips, but it is clean and has what you need. I will be honest and say that the beds are terrible. The best part (beside the gorgeous view) is the all-inclusive food and drinks. You may need to make reservations early for some of the restaurants, but the food is great. There are multiple theme restaurants, but my favorites were the Mexican and French theme restaurants. If you are up after midnight, stop my the snack grill for the best steak sandwich ever. The only other complaint is the lack of consistent information about events and activities. Some flyers say one time while other boards tell you another. We do not have any kids, so we also enjoyed the adult only seating and the adult only pool area. If you have kids, we hear excellent reviews from families about the kid areas and day-care staff. It's great to lay by the pool and have your biggest worry be what drink to order or how to fit all your meals into one day!

Crown Paradise was a wonderful experience for us. It was our 1st all-inclusive vacation. We really enjoyed all of the food choices, and the friendly and helpful staff in all areas. Especially the waiters at La Palappa. They were all so efficient and friendly. The security of the Hotel and beach area was really great and we were able to relax and feel at ease at all times. My husband and I hope to return to the Crown Paradise again very soon. And even though we visited other All-inclusive resorts while we were in Cancun Crown Paradise to be was the most relaxing and comfortable.

The Crown Paradise Hotel was pretty nice. I had a Club Room which is a little nicer than the regular rooms. The bed wasn't too bad, although I did bring my own pillow so that helped. I loved that all of the rooms have a balcony that looks over the beach, it was beautiful. The entertainment staff was great, they did an awesome job. There was ALWAYS somewhere to eat at the resort whether it was a meal or even just a midnight snack. There was a nice sized closet with pleanty of room to hang clothes and fit your suitcases away. There was really only one thing I did not like about the hotel, and I don't know if it's just that hotel or if it's just because it's Cancun but the smell of mold/ mildew/ bleach throughout the hotel was bad. My clothes smelled so bad when I got home that I had to wash them all three times to get rid of the smell and my suitcase still kind of smells like mildew. Other than that I had a great stay.

We stayed at this hotel 8 years ago and it was pretty nice. This visit was very different: They "lost our reservation" and weren't sure we would have a room. I called the travel agency - but didn't save us and as we were out of country there was no way for anyone to call us back. The hotel front desk was overwhelmed with upset customers and actually laughed at us when they realized they had no reservation for us. They found a room for us with one King Bed. There were 4 of us traveling. After much debate they provided a very small twin rollaway. I slept in the king bed with 2 teenagers and my husband slept in the small rollaway. They kept promising each day to get a new room or a new rollaway or something - but it never happened. It was a daily race to get pool chairs - spring break week with roughly 2000 occupants in hotel there were 200-300 chairs. You had to go out at 5 a.m. and get chairs and sit on them the whole time or the hotel staff removed the towels and personal items. For a 5 night stay we called immediatley upon arrival for dinner reservations and were able to get reservations in the restaurants 2 nights at late dining times and had to eat in buffet rest of the nights. All in all - even with the facility difficulties - the overriding impression was the staff just didn't care about the guests. That must be a reflection of management. We have stayed at 6 other resorts in Cancun and have never had such poor service. The service was poor starting at the front desk and at every area of the resort.

It was my first time visiting Cancun. First thing I say is brush up on your Spanish. I was lucky, and went with a couple of friends that knew spanish, so that was very helpful. Overall the hotel was good. I will have to say, I read the reviews on this hotel before I went and a person does have to find out for themselves. The hotel staff was very unknowledgeable about where things were around the hotel (they would send me on a goose chase just to find out one thing, lol) and the place to shop around town. The food was great. The hotel is great for kids. They have something for the kids mostly every night.

I read many reviews on Crown Paradise and have come to the conclusion that you just cannot make some people happy no matter what. This hotel has a beautiful view from any room, the grounds are constantly being cleaned and manicured, the food was plentiful and fresh and you could get anything you wanted to drink. I was tentative after reading several reviews, some good, some bad. We went on our trip with two other couples and their children ages ranging from 10 - 13. The kids had plenty to do and so did the adults. It was great having the "adult" pool. When we got tired of the kid noise we just went to the adult pool for a cold beer/vodka tonic and a quiet swim. While I prefer restuarants to buffets, I knew what to expect and was pleasently surprised by the variety and freshness of the food. This is perfect for kids. There was always fresh fruits, salads, roasted chicken, burgers, hot dogs, a "Mexican station" along with several other choices. They even had a Oriental place where you could get chinese food to order or sushi. There is a very comfortable lobby bar which we would meet at for a drink before dinner and then we would head to the adult bar after dinner for drinks, fun music and pool. For the price we paid I think we got an excellent deal and everyone in our party had a good time. We took the bus to town and shopped in the mall. The mall was absolutely gorgeous, a must for shoppers! While tipping was not included we tipped the maid everyday and the wait person for our table. They do not expect it but it is most appreciated and we were happy to do it.

Located about 10 minutes from party center cancun. Lots to do for the kids except illogically, kids club is closed everyday from noon to 2 pm. Food was good. No one got sick. good beach aceess but most beach activities (ie parasailing etc...) were a 10 minute cab ride away. This place is still recovering from Wilma but well on the way. The golf course is about like like an average municipal course. Good air conditioning which was much needed in the late July heat and humidity. The drink are small but endless. friendly staff.

We've been going to all inclusives in the Cancun/Cozumel area for 9 years now and without a doubt, this was the worst experience we've ever had. I don't normally write reviews and am generally of the opinion that when it comes to Mexico, you get what you pay for. In this case however, I had to write something. Our groups biggest complaint was the food. We `arrived late in the afternoon and it was too late to get a reservation at any of the properties "themed" restaraunts, so we hit the buffet. The food here ranged from cafeteria quality to downright atrocious. For example, you would think in Mexico you would find things like guacamole (my personal measuring stick) in abundance, but here I found the stuff that comes out of a can in the frozen food section of your grocery store. It seems incredulous to me that you should have to wander around a buffet looking for plates, or plastic glasses for beer. But such was the case here and on more than one occaision. When I questioned one of the staff regarding this he gave me a rather surly remark and retrieved a glass for me. Getting reservations at one of the other 5 themed restaraunts (French, Seafood, Italian, Mexican, Steak) where the food proved to be only marginally better was a chore as well. The reservations people were at times rude. We were also surprised to learn that the "free" golf advertised in the lobby was in fact not inclusive of the green fees. They only took care of the cart rental. After shelling out 150.00 U.S. per player, we were on. All in all, this place rates about 2 stars out of a possible 5.

We loved our stay at the Crown Paradise. We had the best time on our inclusive vacation and felt this was perfect for us and our 19 month old. The location was perfect and the beach was GORGEOUS! Food was decent and always available. I was 5.5 months pregnant so that was important to me! The salon was relaxing and the pools were wonderful. The only negative was our misinterpretation of the baby center so I feel I should clarify in case others are thinking the same way. The included day care and paid babysitting are limiting. We thought we would leave our daughter and go shopping, go for a walk on the beach or out to dinner off the resort. Unfortunately this is not the case. You can only leave your child if you are staying on the resort, which seems silly because other than one restaurant---you can take your kids EVERYWHERE here---even all but one bar(we didn't but you get my point---ha ha.) Even with cell phones we couldn't even go for a beach walk because they would need us to be close. That being said we probably would have opened up our hotel selection a little more. We chose this hotel specifically because of the included marvalous daycare. We never wanted to leave her for long but to go out to dinner at Bubba Gumps would have been nice without and that was not possible. I understand the reasoning but with cabs everywhere and cell phone technology -- I think these rules should be better explained.

This hotel is what they mean when they say you get what you pay for. The rooms were clean, the pool was nice, the beach was beautiful, the food and service was terrible!!!!. Once they get you there youre on youre own and good luck getting anything decent to eat, you'll be glad there is an outback down the street.

We absolutely love this resort! It is beautiful and the wait-staff could not be friendlier and more helpful. They have a nice selection of restaurants as well.
