I don’t want to bore you with a lengthy review so I will keep it short. The Crowne Plaza Acapulco tried to overcharge my wife and I. While trying to resolve the overcharge I have found that the Front desk staff and management to be rude, inconsiderate and unprofessional. So if you decide to vacation here WATCH OUT

Hotel looks a bit run down. The food in the Italian Restuarant was very poor and the Mexican restuarant not open. Breakfast buffet was only fair.

Reception desk personnel very nice, long lines to check in , easy check out. Able to change US at desk. Loud BOOM BOOM music every night until midnight. Adult pool was closed entire trip, pools crowed. People trying to open room door at all hours. Screaming kids next door, then drunk gays screaming. Free HBO and English speaking TV with CNN, and Fox news! Food mediocre , outrageous price for buffet $20.00, not fancy food. Changed $10.00 a day to park car at hotel. Nice silver shop in stores front of hotel with quality and great prices. The air conditioning worked well in room. Most people were nice. Missed my first day of work due to E. Coli infection. There are nicer places to go for the money and I can feel safe.

We always go All Inclusive when traveling, but this was the worst for service. Stand in line to get a receipt for drinks (limit 2), then you stand in line to get the drinks. Food was just so-so, not much for variety, did not get much for service from waiters?plus we waited for them to come with receipt to sign for meal (not good for All Inclusive option). Room was nice & had a good view. If you wanted service, needed to give good tips. Went into the bay in front of hotel, 'garbage floating', did not go back in. Beyond the ropes of the beach area (small area) of hotel, constant begging from vendors. Pools were okay. Not much for entertainment. Outside of hotel, ride the buses, cheap! Taxi drivers all over, bugging you to ride. They should make this hotel All Inclusiveoption only or non at all. Would not go back to this hotel.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel is well located with access to the beach. It is one of the older hotels in the area, however, some updates have been made. The room was spacious and we got a good view of the beach. The bathrooms were dated and the set up is not of an upscale hotel.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Acapulco is just fine. After reading the reviews, I was kind of nervous about picking the Crowne Plaza as the hotel where I would be staying in Acapulco. After arriving my fears were calmed. Frankly, all of the reviews that I've seen about Crowne Plaza Acapulco are true. This Crowne Plaza really isn't as nice as the other Crowne Plaza's I've stayed at. However, it is still good. I found the staff to be good and the rooms to be above average. The location is in the middle of the Hotel Zone which makes it easy to walk from one end to the next. One bit of concern....The beach is quite nice except for the under-toe. I would strongly recommend against swimming in the water if you have small children or aren't a good swimmer. The under-toe is one of the strongest I've ever seen. I'm 215 lbs and I fell over twice trying to get out of the water.

we will not stay at an all inclusive "optional" resort hotel such as this again. even though we had wristbands, you still had to first stand in line to place an order for drinks or hamburgers with a cashier and get a receipt, then you had to take this receipt to the bartender station and stand in line again, (usually ten customers deep) and wait for the one bartender to stop ignoring you. one drink per customer at a time. usually 15 minutes each time you wanted a beer. after awhile it was not worth the wait. you had to sign for everthing, don't know why we even had a wristband. the food and the service was our only gripe. the hotel facility was really nice. location was really nice, although, the ocean was full of garbage, (would not recomend going in the water at this spot). live and learn

Great location if you want to be in the center of everything. Still regarded by the locals as a 5 star hotel. Ocean views are great. Pyramid shape adds to the enchantment! Lots of restaurants, shops & transportation walk by.

My stay at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Acapulco was great. I liked the fact that all rooms have balcony and ocean view, which is a plus. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and well kept. The staff were great trying to help us in every way possible to make our stay a pleasent one. The location of the hotel was very good also. The hotel is right in the middle of the whole bay area of Acapulco so everything was very close to the hotel. The one thing I did not like was that the beach was not private. As a matter of fact I think none of the beaches of Acapulco are private. You have locals trying to sell you stuff, people walking by, etc. It would just be better if the beach was private for the hotel use only.

Where to start....Staff: While I could tell they were tryign to be nice I did not feel like any of my requests were taken seriously. I woudl ask for something and woudl get a sort of "oh, whenever" attitude abotu fulfilling it.Room: Terrible, mildew-y. Dirty. I had no hand towels or wash clothes when I arrived. No alarm clock. The telephone did not work. The deadbolt on the door and the chain lock were broken. When I called to complain and request another room or that these things be fixed nobody ever showed up. I got new towels - but a pile of big bath towels! No small towels! The security really concerned me - I did not feel safe any of the nights I stayed there.Food: It's an all-inclusive and it shows. The food is not tasty to this American traveler and it's also quite limited. Not many options.Pool: A bit dirty and grimy. Beach: littered with trash and vendors. It was impossible to enjoy the ocean and beach because it was so dirty and full of so many people begging for money. It's an older property that hasn't been updated in decades...Everything is tired looking and the entire place feels yucky.

The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were clean, it was in a fantastic location, and we had a great time! As I said before, dollar for dollar it was probably the nicest place I have ever stayed at.

The rooms have nice view, I was lucky to have a corner room with view to the ocean and the mountain. Customer service clearly needs improvement. When I called for extra towels they questioned me. When my son got a cut in the pool, I went to the lobby to ask for a band aid, the receptionist did not even look at me and said ?we don?t have any? Plenty room for improvement in customer service

The hotel was for a short stay, 2 days, till we could get into our timeshare resort - so it fulfilled the requirements and price we needed. The staff I found helpful and responsive to anything I asked about. I was there at spring break week so it became very noisy in all the public areas after Friday night. The young people seemed to be having fun there. I was glad to move to a quieter resort though. I would suggest it though with awareness of what its limitations are.

All reviews claim this hotel to be horrible. I almost changed my reservation. It was most importantly clean...we had a standard room w/great view. CLOSE TO ALL..right on the beach.. its not the four seasons...duh!

The hotel is in a very central location, very accessible to all that Acapulco has to offer. The rooms are spacious, but the bathrooms could have been larger and better lighting. The food was good and reasonably priced.

The hotel is well located. everything is close by. The beds are very comfortable. The satff was very rude. except for one lady who helped me with my hotel reservation, since it did not go through. I would definitely stay there again.

The pillows were like bricks, and there were no small refrigerators available for my diabetic supplies. The desk clerk said there were none in the hotel at all.

The hotel needs more customer services; it is poor. They don't helping you a lot, and they don't have breakfast or anything at list for the kids.
