The truths about Dos Playas: This place is on a public beach were I saw the same homeless person everyday. There were bed-bugs. The maid stole pesos that were in a drawer, and my favorite bottle of perfume. If you don?t do the all inclusive, a 4oz. cup of soda will cost you 3.00 USD. The ?free? bottled water, is a plastic jug located by the bar that was warm and usually empty. The sand is full of rocks, empty alcohol bottles, cigarette butts, trash, and empty cups from the bar. The cleanest part of the beach was were all the seaweed was. Don?t get me wrong?I did not expect to get 5 star service at this place and we knew going in that it was a budget hotel, but come on! We did not do the all inclusive for an extra 30.00 a day-per person, so maybe we would of received different service. But even asking for a cup of ice with a blue wrist band on instead of blue, I thought they were going to start charging us for the ice too. Luckly the OXXO (mini-mart) was a block away and finally opened up 3 days after we were there because it was ROBBED. Most of the staff live here and there are Condo?s that are rented out also.

This hotel is very basic but has a great location. There are 5 swimming pools and a beautiful beach to layout on. There are four covered areas on the beach, which really wasn?t enough. The rooms by the three swimming pools are definitely the best (all the rooms cost the same). Our room was in the three story building by the road. It was ok; we did have a great view from the balcony. If you like to shower with hot water . . . take a shower in the a.m. There was never hot water at night. Also, don?t put your towel on the floor because you might not get another clean one for a couple of days. Overall the staff is very nice and most can speak enough English to communicate with Americans. The best thing about this hotel is the view of the ocean, the white sand, the location, and the all-inclusive package. The worst thing about this hotel (for us) was the bed and the food was not very good. We would stay again because it?s a cheap vacation only next time we would request the other building to stay in.One more thing. Go to the bakery at Wal-Mart. It?s sooo good.

Arrived at dos playas on the 21st may 2007. When we seen the hotel we thought it lookd quite grim! We checked into the hotel and was shown to are hotel room, all fears were gone when were settled into the hotel. The room was big and clean. Dos playas has its own private beach with white sand and blue sea
