| The Elcano Hotel Acapulco is clean, comfortable with a very friendly staff. The food and service was excellent. The hotel is right on the beach. The beds are a little hard but that is common in Mexico. Maid service was exceptional. I would recommond this hotel to friends and would stay there again. |

| I was overall satisfied with this hotel. During check-in the people at the front desk basically ignored us. Finally, after about 20 minutes we were able to get the clerks attention. I was also disappointed with the hotel security...there was none. We had a room on the second floor with a door in the room that lead to a balcony. My roommate kept leaving the balcony door unlocked, especially at night and I felt that anyone could come onto the property and climb up...it's been done in Mexico before. Other than those two complaints the Hotel was Okay for Mexico. My expectations were not high so that is probably why is was okay. The room was spacious, with two queen size beds, however, you could tell that the building was an old building and had been modernized, however, some of the furniture was still pretty bruised. I did appreciate the fact that there was a wall safe in the closet for our personal items. |
