My wife and I loved it. Our room faced the pacific and we enjoyed the dive shows in the evening. The Ocean moderated the tempature with cool ocean breezes. The staff was responsive to our needs and treated us with respect and immediate attention. the hotel is located in traditional acapulco (old) and that was fine with us because we weren't around all the other turistos. Also, the Hotel did a good job of keeping the street vendors away from the patrons. Food was excellant, service great, and though my wife and I do not speak spanish, eventually everyone figured it out. I would have liked wifi excess from the hotel, but there are plenty of internet cafes nearby. If a walker is required, wheelchair, or heart condition, you may want to think twice about El Mirador, because of all the stairs. I will stay there again if I'm back in Acapulco.

The main feature of this hotel is its great location overlooking the Pacific. The food was excellent and the hotel staff were helpful and friendly. On the negative side, it is old and in need of upgrading of furnishings. I enjoyed my stay watching sunsets on the Pacific and the famous Apapulco cliff divers.

I left the Mirador after the first night there. The room and view were unacceptable: Unclean. Unsafe..hangups at Midnight; someone trying to enter my room; noisy guests next door. Poor view. The bed was a one inch mattress on a concrete slab. Poor electricity/lighting. No amenities. The hotel restaurant food was inedible. I could barely turnaround in the room...too small. The location was way up on a hill (cliff) with no beach access, at least that I could find.

After a somewhat confusing check-in, we reached our room to find it extremely warm inside. The AC had not been turned on prior to our arrival. It was somewhat better after turning it on, but was a very old model AC and took a long time to recover. The room was large and had a sitting room area, and kitchenette with sink, but no microwave, coffee pot, or refrigerator which we thought odd. Everything was clean except for the sofa bed in the sitting area which was quite soiled The bathroom was very nice, and had ample closet space outside it with a marble vanity. The location was THE BEST for watching the cliff divers from the dining areas.
