| Originally J. Paul Getty's beach hideaway, this hotel is in the exclusive Acapulco Diamante area, between the Sierra Madre mountains and the Pacific surf. A golf course is across the street. Facing Revolcadero Beach, this hotel shares a 480-acre estate with its companion hotel, the Fairmont Acapulco Princess; both attract celebrities as well as sun-worshipping families and couples. Rooms in white villas, tropical bungalows, and low-rise pavilions offer garden, ocean, or golf-course views. Decor includes tropical hardwood furniture, colorful throw rugs, and marble baths. The various shops, bars and restaurants can be reached within about 10 minutes. Acapulco is located just 14 km from the hotel and Acapulco Airport is around 8 km away.This hotel is spread between a pyramid shaped main building and 2 additional buildings. It was completely renovated in 2003 and comprises 170 single rooms, 165 double rooms and 5 suites.
