Fiesta Americana Condesa Hotel Cancun [edit info]
Blvd Kukulcan #44 Cancun 77500 Mexico
Cancun, Mexico
Description:The powdery beaches overlooking the crystalline turquoise water of the Caribbean. AAA/Four Diamond Award-winning. The hotel's distinctive architectural design creates an intimate and exclusive ambiance, beginning with the largest palapa in Mexico, 115 feet high, shading the expansive lobby to the hotel's extraordinarily beautiful swimming pool, bar and restaurants accented by a beautiful waterfall.

The 502-room with private balcony Fiesta Americana Condesa consists of three eight-story wings painted in a Mexican mosaic of peach, yellow, and earth tones. For rejuvenation, the hotel includes a spa with saunas, various massage techniques, and body and facial treatments. The spa also contains a fully equipped fitness center and a beauty shop. There is also a pro shop, car rental service, shopping arcade, beauty salon, jewelry store, and on-site medical assistance. Like all major Cancun hotels, the Fiesta Americana Condesa is equipped with a water-purification system.

The three restaurants offer high culinary standards and a unique environment, incorporating the tradition and creativity that are typical of great Yucatan, International and New world cuisine. Own two bars have been designed for enjoying the landscape and the festive environment of Cancun.

A Fiesta Kids club offers complimentary baby-sitting and kid's activities each day.

The lounge-like lobby bar is a casual evening gathering spot, a chic setting for enjoying an evening of Mexican and International cocktails and talking to friends.

The bi-level sun-deck has three Jacuzzis and a massive swimming pool, which cascades from level to level as it leads from the hotel lobby to the beach.

A full-service spa tempts guests with a wide assortment of relaxing and therapeutic treatments: 751 sq. ft. of gym, using life fitness equipment (Stair climber, Exercise bike, Tread mill, Cross trainer, Weight Stacks, Flat bench), 11 enclosed cabins, 4 terrace cabanas, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and cold plunge, pressure shower in men's and women's shower rooms, showers, 40 lockers, spa front desk & boutique.

For the active set, there are two indoor tennis courts, beach soccer, beach volleyball, and a large exercise room.

With an established practice of attending 150 groups a year, Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun invested approximately 12 million dollars to upgrade its facilities and, particularly, its infrastructure for conventions and events. Oriented towards the goal of providing all that is necessary for a successful gathering, the remodeling project encompasses everything from the rooms themselves to common areas such as the business center, conference rooms, lobby and pool.

A clean, well located and well maintained hotel with a friendly, responsive and bilingual staff. Several onsite restaurant and bar options which offer decent food and drinks, but are expensive.

I was not involved in the booking of our recent stay with the Fiesta Americana Condesa but I do know that we will NOT go back. The lobby is impressive. Not great but impressive due to the flooring, the roof and the open air. However, if you really look around, this place is on its downhill run. It is in serious need of a remodel. When taken to our 2 adjoining rooms you encountered that "Mexico Musty" smell when you took your first step inside the door. Figured I would kick on the AC to knock it out and turn on the ceiling fans. In one room the AC did not work and the other room the ceiling fan did not work. We asked for a change of rooms. I was given a key to go look at two rooms by myself. Found two rooms where the AC worked and the ceiling fans worked. Here are my thoughts: 1. Poor upkeep - lots of maintenance/repair neglect and obvious amateur patching up of needed repairs. 2. Pools (all of them) are in need of cleaning and better circulation. 3. Bar prices are too high. 880 pesos for an average drink drove us into town to secure our own. If this hotel is going to compete, it needs to do some major upgrading pretty soon. Cracked and missing tiles, missing handrails, cinder blocks thrown in planter boxes, mold and other problems are everywhere. The staff was nice and helpful and the morale seemed good. The place just needs a thorough going over with repairs and upkeep.

They insisted on showing us our rooms which hadn't been cleaned yet to try to persuade us that we needed something better. They also said that we would be on the side of the hotel (facing another hotel) which was ok for the price we we're paying, but they said it also might get noisy over there. When I still declined the upgrade, they set up us in the rooms they had shown us (after they were cleaned) and it was in a section normally reserved for spring break college students. It was indeed noisy with kids running up and down the halls all night.

The fiestamericana Condesa Cancun was very comfortable. The service was so wonderful. We stayed in the Master suite and it was worth every penny. It was nice having one full bathroom and also a half bathroom in the living room area. I loved that it was right on the beach and that our balcony was huge. The people that worked there were able to help us out if we had any questions. Also since we don't speak Spanish very well, it was nice to have everyone that works there speak a good bit of english.

The Condesa was very clean and beautiful. The only complaint would be that the food in the on-site restaurants are a bit pricey. Especially the breakfast buffet. You'll get a better breakfast for your money. Other than that, the hotel was nice and I would definitely stay there again.

Candelas were a great hotel and exceeded my expectations. I loved our room, the pool and the lobby area. All of the staff were super friendly and ready to help. I couldn't have asked for a better stay! And I couldn't beat it the rate I won. I definitely recommend!

When we arrived at the hotel it looked very beautiful from the outside and also the lobby, but the bad experience that we had was that when they gave us our room, were were very dissapointed. It was three of us in one room and when wer arrived at the room it looked like a cheap motel room. First of all it was at the end of the hallway and it was very small. Our view was the view of the hotel next door's ventilation system and part of the ocean. We were told that we had a garden view. We immediately complained and asked to be moved. We had to pay extra money to be moved to a room with a view to the ocean and the swimming pool, which was much better. That was the only bad experience that we had. The hotel was nice, but that our first room was horrible.

We paid for the all incl. master king suite so we could have a hot tub on the balcony. Not only did it not work & was filthy - we dealt w/ 2 seperate rooms flooding, mold infestation and bugs all of the walls and bed. Hot tub did not work in either room . Bed felt like a box spring with no mattress. We were moved to JW Marriott for last night and came home 4 days early. Hotel staff was rude and has refused to credit us back for the 2 nights of stay duing which we had maintenance staff in and out of room at all hours. Locks on all balcony doors did not work and balconies are accessible from other rooms. The only positive about this resort was the food. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone as it seems it would not meet basic minimum health standards.

The hotel is very nice and I would certainly enjoy staying there again. I would not allow them to lure me into a long time share presentation again. When I attempted to leave the presentation, they proceeded to tell me how unintelligent I was for not joining. The rest of my stay was great. Just no time share presentations please.

This hotel was Right on the Beach. We got a room upgrade to ocean view, with regular rate. The restaurant on the beach was Great, Cook to Order Seafood & Pasta. I would go back... I had only 2 complaints. One the Lady working in the Timeshare program at the hotel Carmen is Horrible. She is overbearing & a lier... She tried way too hard, with scare tactics, until my husb. told her to back off. But we reported her & she wes told NOT to bother us for the rest of our stay. Good!!! Other was the phone in our room & pillows smelled like perspiration from prevoius guest. That was disgusting. They brought me completely New Pillows Immediately & Cleaned my phone thoroughly with disinfectant. They were eager to please... Also, it is very humid, so people do perspire alot there. However, make sure everything is CLEAN!!! The hotel is Beautiful... A little price, but we had the 25% off all restaurants bonus, so that helped alot!!! Overall, Satisfied & would go back. The best beach I have ever seen!! Turquoise!!!

This hotel was nice, but not a 4 star hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the pool is amazing. All of the restaurants are extremely expensive. We got stuck sleeping in a full size bed the whole 7 nights because they did not have a king size available and that made our stay very uncomfortable. First room had a toilet that didn't flush and we had to move to another room. Rooms are decent, but I would not stay here again. It reminded me of a Motel 6. Our bathtub was dirty, there was mold and mildew in the room and when it rained our room flooded because it leaked in through the window. If you just want somewhere to stay to go and sleep it is a good place for that, but spend as little time as possible in the hotel room. the beach is so beautiful but it is rocky.

Our visit here was first rate. Beautifully landscaped grounds, friendly and knowledgeable staff, comfortable beds, wonderful beach restaurant that was a great value, fabulous beach, lots of lounge chairs in both sun and shade (nice!). We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends.

I absolutely loved this hotel. It was exotic, romantic (although i was there with friends) and just breath taking. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, and ooooooooooooh those pina coladas..i miss them so. I would definately come back to this hotel, it could become my second home. This hotel is also extremely clean, the maids come to your room atleast three times a day, i was shocked. There is plenty to do in the area, aqua world being right across the street. And the staff is very helpful in helping you decided what activities you want to do for the day. All in all I highly recomment this hotel.

Hotel was very nice. My children though it was pretty but a bit sterile as there was not much activity. Nice pools. On the beach. Courteous staff.

I can't stress enough how amazing this hotel, no resort, was to stay at. This was my and my husband's first time in Cancun, and our adjustment to the weather, food, etc. was much smoother because of the plentiful accomodations and easy attitudes at Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun. The Front Desk staff are always willing to answer every question you may have (i.e., directions to dinner, favorite places to visit, translations, etc.) with a smile and a professional demeanor. The restaurants in the hotel are also quite good. They have a nice selection to meet every person's different taste levels. The pool at the hotel is stunning and even has a swim-up bar at it. The pool is heated, and there are daily activities for guests' enjoyment (i.e., volleyball, aerobics, etc.). But, by far, the best part about this hotel is the room itself. We stayed in a Junior Suite w/ 2 bathrooms and a separate living area, which overlooked the ocean. It was gorgeous. Housekeeping does an exceptional job of keeping it clean. The balcony was incredible! Even as I remember my visit, I feel it was a dream. Between the service and the room itself, you can't go wrong here. In fact, you'd be wrong not staying at the FACC. On a side note, the hotel is further south in the hotel zone which is nice because it is in a quieter area. Still, it's easy to hop on a bus (65 cents!) and visit downtown for some fun nightlife.

This hotel was a lovely building, with great staff, located on the beach in Cancun. The grounds featured two pools, both inviting; however, the hours for pool access were too short to be useful. There are two restaurants on site: one was buffet style and very reasonable; the other one was overly priced and stuffy. I would recommend this hotel, and I would return again at some future date.

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel looks nice on the outside, but the room that I was in had a view of a hotel and there were red stick areas on the tile floor. The bathroom had mold that was very visible. Also the beds were made, but the sheets werent changed because I had spilled juice the night before and the stains were still there. The hotel staff was so unfriendly. The location could have been better, because it is in the center of the hotel strip, but the shops are all to one side of the strip, about 25 minutes walking distance. Everything at the hotel was overpriced and you had to pay to use everything. Yes they have a gym, tennis courts, Wi-Fi, business center, movie nights, but you have to pay for everything separate. I would never recommend this hotel to a friend, but I would 100% recommend Cancun to everyone. It really was beautiful outside of the hotel. I would also recommend going to the Mayan ruins and the water parks. There is so much to do, one week is not enough.

I visited Cancun with some friends from July 3rd through July 8th 2008. We stayed at the Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun. After some talking with friends we decided to upgrade the room to the Beach Front Room(ocean view and large oversized patio). I arrived at the hotel at 7:15pm Tuesday the 3rd I checked in and went to my hotel room with friends. Room was great except it wasn't what I paid for. The large oversized patio was 2 1/2 ft. wide. I went back down complained and they gave me a second room. They gave me the exact same room. I went back down and now it was 8:15pm and I still hadn't received what I paid for. I spoke to the supervisor and almost told him off. I paid extra money for an upgraded room with an ocean front and a large oversized patio and they gave me not once but twice a view of the pool and a small balcony. After an hour of arguing they finnally coughed up what I paid for. I came to one conclusion on this. They see a white person and see he upgraded the room so they still put you in the normal room and hold onto the good room for someone else willing to pay more money for it. This hotel is for couples or families or possibly retired people. THIS HOTEL IS NO FOR PEOPLE IN THEIR 20'S. Security is very tight. If you meet someone and want to hangout in your room they won't let you. They are very restrictive on bringing outside food and drink into the hotel. I was highly offended one morning when I woke up and saw a letter under my door written in spanish and addressed to one of my hispanic friends even though the room was in my white name. They would bother you as early at 8am to clean your room whether you had the privacy sign on the door or not. One time we had to stay out on the patio while they cleaned our room. They would call you throughout the day and night. I went on vacation to get away from people bothering me. I felt like I was constantly being bothered while I was at the hotel. The prices at the hotel to do attractions were highly inflated

Fiesta Americana Condesa es a very prety hotel, the rooms are very nice and clean. The restaurants have delicious food specially the breakfast buffet. Everything was Perfect until the time we had to check out. It end up that we took this long breakfast with the Fiesta American Vacation staff and obviously they gave us some coupons to use in the hotel and they said we could use it for anything including, food, drinks and the spa...Well it end up that you could use it just for some foods and drinks and not for the spa, and obviously we went to the spa that was very pricely thinking we had this 100dlls and we end paying for that and came back home with some of my Fiesta bucks so just as a recomendations please be carefull with what they tell you.
