Absolutely loved it. Everything the beach, the service, the food, the drinks. I would go back in a heartbeat. The Filet Mignon at Le Gourmet Restaurant, to die for :) D

The new gourmet resturants were wonderful, the best we found was Don Pablo. It is sad that on a 7 days stay you can only chose 3 resturants. The main Dinning rooms are clean and the there service flawless. Sometimes the recycled food from the day before got a bit much, but there was plenty to chose from so you nver went hungry. The pool was cleaned everyday and the new dock at the ocean side is a fine addition, you can watch the fish and snorkel with them. The horror story was the flight to and from. there is not enough writing space here.

We stayed here almost 6 months ago but we are booking our second h/m so I wanted to put in how great GBP made our first. This place is CLEAN! Very important to me. Just beatiful. We upgraded to the golden section which was worth a few extra bucks for the quicker check in and more personal feel with a few extra touches. I asked for a really great room and although their rooms are basic and mostly the same the location can mean a lot. I got it alright! Closest to the beach on a top floor corner. Perfect.. what a veiw! I believe building 62? (shouldve wrote this right away). You can use all three with Akumal.. Tulum and Coba both very nice. Akumal is just the newest part. I loved traveling over the whole resort but can get a little old having to get somewhere fast. Staff was so cool except for a slightly grumpy one here or there. No biggy. Just a great place to relax for the week. I would go back due to the feel the place gives you. Paradise feeling grounds. Go to Playa and spend a day. It would be great if this hotel was closer to the town. Its fabulous. Kinda rough 30min rides to but especially back in the collectivos. Good overall value.

Hotel has no AC in restaurants and in show venues. It was very hot. If your idea of fun is to sweat while you eat or watch a show, then this is the place for you. I would NEVER come back to this hotel again.
