We had a problem with the air conditioning one night, fixed promptly. Toilet was loose from the wall in bathroom. BUT - gorgeous bathroom otherwise, marble, granite, etc. Room was clean and large. Bed rolled to one side.Stay here for the location - it's right on Reforma, close to many things, easy in/out fast valet parking. We stay here every time we travel to Mexico City.

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The concierge was great in arranging tours and making travel arrangements. I loved the fact that there are so many facilities at the hotel that you don't need to leave! You have a gym (with a trainer if you need him), bars, restaurants, a business center, swimming pool, and a spa! The rooms are nice and clean. I do have one complaint, the mattresses were hard.

This hotel was very beautiful. The only complaint would be the location. Somewhat far from the zona rosa, zocolo, and park, which are main tourist attractions. But in a great location for bussiness travelers.

The Gran Melia Reforma has been one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in when traveling abroad. The room size was great, its furniture divided the room into three different sections. You have your own desk and chair with internet acess for the business traveler followed by your own lazy boy chair to just sit back and relax after a great tour of the city. Complete with an adjoining bathroom, this comes with a seperate stand up shower for the go or a sunk in tub for an hour long soak. And with its king size bed, one will truly sleep like a rock through out the night. At the same tiome, this room also came with a large closet for easy storage and a small safe to secure any valuables. Overall, this hotel has meet my expectations, great accomodations, excellent employee staff and great restaurant services.

The Gran Melia was indeed gran.It was turly a five star hotel. The room were very clean and comfortable.I also felt very safe. We were able to walk to the zocalo and to the palacio de bellas artes. However, it is geared for a person on business, not for a tourist.I was never welcomed when I entered the hotel. When we arrived very early in the morning the front deak made no extra effort to get us into a room or to tell us were all of the amenities. They simply said to come back around three.

This hotel is clean, location is good. The food in the Restaurant definitely can be improved. We asked the hotel staff to call a taxi, and the hotel staff offered to drive us to Chapultepec Park. We trusted him and didn't negotiate price before we get in. We was charged 300 peso, and found out it only need 35~40 peso later.

The gran Melia reforma is a great place, I felt like at home. The staff is very friendly and professional, the food is very good and service is excellent. We liked the room very much and is located really close to a lot of important places. It has the best location in town. The bed is perfect, the safebox inside the room is a great thing. I would definately recommend this hotel to friends and family. If you need to use taxis make sure they are the white with red or green stripe on the side and that the plates start with an L or S these are the safest.

It's rare to find such variety in fruits at a hotel restaurant. Gran Melia specializes in "tuna" (red and green fruit from the prickly pear cactus), guava, pineapple, papaya, coconut, and a variety of melons. Also there was pozole and menudo served daily; an acquired taste, it was special for me. The staff were friendly and understood English. I would most certainly recommend Gran Melia to any of my friends.
