I liked very much that hotel because there were many restaurants and the room was very clean and comfortable.

Start with the good. Most of the staff were courteous and helpful. The food was good with lots of it being freshly made. There was also a wide variety. The pool was large and inviting. The view from the room was beautiful. Nice place and value to take the family. The not so good. Would not want to go there if we did not have the kids. House keeping never supplied enough towels or wash clothes for the 5 of us. Had to call every day for more. Took a long time to get more if they came at all. The pools flow into each other. The pool at the end was dirty and had foamy yuck floating around the edges. The eating area at the buffet that was open most of the time was very warm. Need to pump some a/c in there.

The hotel was very nice. We had an oceanview suite with the whirlpool on the terrace. When we arrived the whirlpool was not working and we had to call two times to get someone to come up to fix it. Also there was alot of things on the shower that we could not get to work. We asked the housekeeper who did not speak english. He said that he would send someone up but no one every showed up. We where only there for the weekend or I would have pushed it. Had the dinner in our room and it was very special.More than I expected. Also had to call about the fruit basket and wine. But after we called it was sent up, but without a cork screw. All in all it was a great weekend loved the room and the view, and would do it again.

We traveled with our 3 children (4, 8, 10yrs old). The Hotel was beautiful and clean. My only complaint is it was really warm in the lobby, and Buffet Restaurant...(open design made it impossible to air condition comfortably). The entertainment staff was excellent ! The "kids pools", and Kids Club were wonderful, even my 10 year old loved hanging out there. The poolside activities we fun whether you participated or just watched. We found the staff to be friendly & helpful. We all enjoyed the nightly shows held in the auditorium. The service was great, at all the restaurants, the pools, and bars. Save yourself some time, and buy big cups at the gift shop to have your drinks filled with at all the bars (otherwise they serve your drinks in small plastic cups). The beach was disappointing, very rocky & rough, we were unable to go swimming in the ocean, but the kids loved playing in the sand & surf. When you book your trip, request an odd numbered room. Even though we LOVED our room, we were in an even number room, and we faced the Hilton, and their huge generators, which was rather noisy. Granted, the Hotel was not as fancy, and sophisticated as others.... but for the price we paid, we felt it was FANTASTIC ! The kids can't wait to go back !!

The hotel is not the place to sty in Cancun. No beach, No drinks, No food, No air conditioning, No noise control, there is almost nothing about this place that makes it worth the trip to Cancun. Do not stay here.

This hotel has no AC in the elevators, common area and in the buffet dining area. In July, this is totally unacceptable. Even the AC in the room is barely adequate (need to turn on the fan to get some cool air to circulate). On the second day of our stay, the toilet started to act up (no water to flush). It took them half of the day to resolve the problem and we end up having to pack up and move to another room. Bed sheets are dirty with 'unidentify object'. Service at the Italian dining area is very very slow. Italian pasta tasted like Chinese noodle. The staff is not friendly. We've to pretty much serve ourself. Can't swim on the beach since huge rocks are everywhere. Please don't repeat our mistake. Take your money somewhere else and do not stay at this hotel.

The hotel was very good value in my opinion. We got VIP status as a part of our package and it was very nice to get the additional perks. The food was good, but got a little old after about 4 days. The beach is all rocky which is kindof a bummer.

The staff was very friendly, but always wanting a tip. The food is very repeative in all the restraunts, and it was not very good. The whole place had a slight smell of sewer. The place was filled with loud local teens partying 24/7, passed out on the beach, slamming doors, swearing, making out by the pool. It felt like it was sring break! The drinks were good, except the wait staff ignored you, hard to get a drink. Beds were VERY hard, with only a sheet and light blanket. Shower was broken, hot tub in room, had a hole in the side, the balcony was caked with crap! There were only 3 elevators and had to wait forever for them. Time share people were constintly hassling you. The room was always made up, except there were never any washclothes. The beach was very rocky, no where to swim. Celings dripped when it rained, buckets everywhere, floors VERY slippery! Majority of the TV channels were all in spainsih, hard to watch anything. I was expecting a lot more for the price that I paid. I was very unhappy about the place. Would never recommend to anyone!

Restaurant and lounge service was so slow. Took 4-ever to get anything, food or drink, or any service at all. They wasted very valuable vacation time of ours. Room service was advertised as 24 hr. service but was closed from 6am to 7am every morning. That's only 23 hrs. That was when we wanted our breakfast. We had to wait til after 7am to eat breakfast wasting more of our vacation time. Shower head didn't work in suite room. Spa tub took 45 minutes to fill up enough to turn jets on. We downgraded to a deluxe room. Very dissappointed.

When we arrived at the Great Parnassus at about 3:00pm and we were greeted by the friendly bell boys who took our baggage and we headed to check in. We waited in line for about 2 minutes and then it took about 5 minutes to check in (got room keys, bracelets, towel cards, safe key and remote) and we were right in our room where our friendly bell boy met us with our baggage. The room was BEAUTIFUL! The bathroom is huge and has an awesome shower complete with several shower heads, and radio...and a bunch of other options we never really figured out :) There was a double sink which was perfect for us and a huge dressing area with TONS of room to hang up clothing/wet swim suits. There was also a good sized safe where we kept our cash. Oh, and another counter area that was great for makeup, etc, complete with a full size mirror. Just outside of the bathroom was the mini bar area which also had a coffee maker and coffee. The only thing in the bar when we arrived was water, but concierge called several hours after we arrived and asked how we liked the room and sent up someone with beer, soda and more water. The sleeping area was great! Unfortunately we ended up in a room with two double beds, but that was no big deal. The whole front of the room was windows that had curtains that could be closed. The sliding doors opened very wide to the beautiful balcony. It had two lounge chairs, a small table with chairs, and a jacuzzi. There was towels and a bottle of bubble bath. As far as the maid service, she was great! She picked up our room and cleaned it spotless everyday. We left her $5 everyday and she left us several bottles of water, three towels in the bathroom, and two on the balcony for the jacuzzi, everyday. The food was great! We enjoyed the Mangus food court. It had 12 different stations (mexican, asian, deli, pasta...etc). There was always someone asking if they could take dirty dishes, or get us something to drink. We were only there for 4 nights but we managed to get

This is the best travel experience I have had since being on a cruise ship. The hotel is incredibly beautiful and immaculate. The staff are helpful, polite and see to one's every need. There are many restaurants, lounges and shops under one roof, not to mention all of those lining the same street for miles. Activities abound for people of every age: the 3 tier infinity family pool overlooking the Caribbean is a sight to behold...and so much fun! There is a water park with slides and a pirate ship for youths and larger water slides for teens. For adults there is a private pool area and the hotel has the most beautiful spa I've ever seen in my life! Next to the spa is a fully equipped gym. The rooms are huge with gorgeous views of either the lagoon or the Caribbean Sea and are kept extremely clean. Our maid was extremely skilled in folding towels and wash cloths into elaborate shapes of birds and flowers! I highly recommend this hotel to couples or families. There truly is something for everyone and one certainly gets a big bang for his/her buck. My child and I can hardly wait to go again!

This was a beautiful, new resort with lots of dining options and great beach and pools. I found the staff in the restaurants wonderful, but the front desk staff seemed disorganized and noone really new how to answer our questions. The car rental service was disappointing and the rates kept changing. Overall we had a good experience but communication on behalf of the staff could have been better.

HOtel was nice anyone could enjoy their stay here. There was a lot of kids however. The adult pool was a nice touch but not near the ocean. Food was not that great. Drinks were o.k but NO CORONA.... Warm in the hotel but beautiful layout. Overall nice time. You can do anyhthing you want there - good time for the money payed. Beds were a little uncomfortable and the shower did not drain properly. I think the bar tenders give you better drinks if you tip them and that is annoying to have money out at the pool all the time. Pool activities were lively and fun!

The hotel had tons of kids, which could be good for a family. For us, we spent quite a bit of time at the Grand Parnassus (the sister resort), as it was a couple vacation. The food court had good food, but seemed a little like a circus. I would recommend the Grand Parnassus over the Great, if you are looking for a more couples-based vacation.

The Great Paranassus hotel in Cancun was a great experience for us. There were plenty of choices for dining and the food was very good. Staff was all very helpful and wanted to make sure your stay was memorable. Hotel provides both quiet or lots of entertaining areas. Big hotel that looks like a cruise ship on the inside. Lots of chairs and no line ups for meals. Great location!

Great Parnassus Resort was a great place to stay. I found the pool area very comfortable and the beach even more so. Yes there are a few rocks on the beach but its not that bad that it would take away from the enjoyment of it all. There was lots of people in the water even kids. I actually liked the rocks. You can sit on them and relax as the water splashes up to you. By the way the food was amazing. Out of all the many places to eat at this resort the french restaurant was my favourite. The restaurant staff was amazing as well. If you find yourself very busy and you don't have much time for dinning the buffet is a great place to go. I spent a few days there before and after some of the tours we took. I will go back to this resort and I would recommend to my friends. If you decide to go you will enjoy your vacation.

The great Parnassus is truly a place for people to have an enjoyable stay. We checked in around 10.30 Am, experienced no problems whatsoever it was a breeze, however they have a hospitality room, where you can change , have a shower or relax. We choose to visit the beach. The room was ready as suggested at 3.pm; however it seems they were doing some work in that room as the AC did not work there were signs of maintenance. My husband went down and complained, they transferred us to another room, there were some problems with that room too, by the next morning we were transferred to another room( upgraded) and we thoroughly enjoyed that room, large room, huge balcony, huge bathroom and dressing area. We enjoyed eating at the food court, unfortunately we are not drinkers , therefore we did not visit the bars. We could see guests were kept occupied with activities all day. We will certainly reccomend this resort, in fact my husband and I are already planning another visit. My husband was amazed at the equipment in the gym. I would have liked to enjoy their Spa, but I found their charges very high, however all in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are anxious to get back

The Great Parnassus Resort&Spa was a very fun hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly! This was our first time in Cancun and we loved every minute of it! I wish we could've stayed longer! The hotel offered a nice variety of food and pastry,24-room service, plenty of fun and games at the main pool, and beautiful modern spacious rooms. The ambiance of the hotel was like being on a cruise ship. We also loved the open-air lobby! The beach and sand was also gorgeous! I can't wait to go back! We will defitenly come back here!

The lobby and the pool by the beach are the best parts of this hotel. We should know about the lobby because we waited 2 hours in line to check in. Our room was filthy, dirty sheets, paint on the drapes, mini-bar was unstocked and never filled during our stay, no shower curtain on the shower, chairs with upholstery so dirty you would not even want your dirty clotes placed on them, and although therewas a coffee pot, there was no coffee or coffe cups. We complained and the most we received was clean sheets! Never had a bed spread, mini-bar, coffee, shower curtain, etc, not to mention the flowers, fruit and wine that were part of our Lagoon Suite Package. Oh, and the jacuzzi--there was no plug/stopper so it couldn't be filled! However, the service in the bars and restaurants was good, the drinks were good and plentiful, the food great for breakfast (including room service) and lunch, just so-so for dinner. The bell-boys were awesome, especially when there was an accident on the Gray Line Taxi and I cut my forehead...they were there immediately with a medic and a first aid kit. Overall, for a 4 day stay it was fine because we were there to be outside and get some sun.
