The hotel staff were excellent. The hotel was spotless. Our only complaints and they were minor, no clocks in the common areas (pool, lobby, etc.), always offered bottled water (for a price) instead of tap water with ice. We drank the ater all week without any adverse affects. Again an excellent travel experience.

Beautiful place, the pool area was very expensive and nice. The beach was very close and white sand with very blue water. They charge for everything!

We just had a great 4 night stay at the Hilton. We stayed in one of the oceanfront villas which are well worth the extra money, especially with the free continental breakfast you get every morning as well as the free munchies and drinks served from 5:00-7:00 every night. The same breakfast offering is purchased by non-villa guests in the main restaurant for 55-60 (for 2 people). The food is good everywhere in the hotel but meals not too surprisingly are far cheaper off site. A bus will pick you up right in front of the hotel and will take you anywhere on the main strip for 6.5 pesos (roughly 65 cents) so getting around is a cost and time efficient breeze. Though a tad overpriced my wife did enjoy her facial at the Hilton spa. There are Aqua World reps right on site so scheduling anything water related is simple. The dinner cruise was extremely enjoyable and the Jungle Tour via waverunner to go snorkeling was a blast. The staff at both the Hilton and at Aqua World could not have been better trained and every single person was happy to be there and to assist folks who needed anything. All in all our first trip to Cancun was a winner and we will be back!!

While most hotels & resorts on this stretch of Cancun beach look like bomb shelters, and have no beach, or virtually no usable beach (understandable with the hurricanes) the Hilton was spectacular. Not a bad room or view in the place. Best beach area in the 2+ miles of beach we walked. The staff was most helpful, and friendly which is always welcome. I plan to return to this Hilton.

Cancun has suffered extensive beach erosion resulting from recent hurricanes. The beach at the Hilton and most of the other hotels (Marriott, LeMeridien, JW Marriott, Omni, Ritz Carlton and others) has huge exposed boulders and it is impossible/dangerous to swim in the ocean. If this is an important expectation for your vacation, you should choose another location. The Hilton does have a wonderful pool and grounds. Food and drinks are expensive, service is marginal and the rooms are starting to show signs of wear and tear.

Wonderful beach, great and very large pool area. Our kids love the multiple interconnected pools and the great beach, which keeps us coming back to this Hilton over and over again when we are in Cancun. One of the better 5* resorts we have stayed at on the Cancun hotel strip.

Spend a long weekend in September with my wife. The hotel was incredible. The best feature about the hotel was the enormous pool. Room was clean and, I believe, all have ocean views. Staff was friendly and polite. Did not have to lift a finger. Pool staff was eager to serve you.Food and drinks can be expensive (everything is relative) but what else you expect from a resort? Due to the weather in previous seasons, beach was eroded and had exposed rocks/boulders.Overall the hotel is a great place to stay and great value for price. Take the bus to down town Cancun, shops, etc.

The rooms are very comfortable. The pool was awesome; they weren't too many people so it was very nice to not have to worry about getting lounge chairs by the pool or the beach. The safe in our room did not work, they tried to fix it, couldn't and said they'd be back, never got around to it, but the staff was very friendly and polite.

Front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was well maintained, both the common grounds and the rooms. The pool area was nice, not over crowded, with comfortable chairs and plenty of area of shade if needed. The wait service around the pool could have been better. I tipped well from day one and expect a friendlier and more attentive wait staff. I don't mind paying $4.50 for a beer, but $3.50 for a cup of soda is ridiculous. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Great service, Great value, Beautiful Beaches. I can't say enough about the hotel staff, they were polite and very helpful. The food at the hotel restaurant was great. I figured I would have gotten a small room without a view. the opposite happened, I was put in a huge room with an Oceanside view. Gorgeous!

Hilton Cancun is a great resort. People are nice. Very convenient and similar price to outside rentals. All the room seems to have water views, but upgrade got use a balcony which is really nice. They have about 10 pools that cascade down to the beach, which is a bit narrow but nice sand. Only had buffet breakfast at the hotel - it was a bit better than average for a 5 star resort. Location is ok with a car or if you play golf - no where else in Cancun has a golf course and the beach right there. The grounds in general are nice. Seems to have a good spa, but we didn't have time to try it.
