My husband and I visited this hotel after researching several other resorts on-line. We didn't know what to expect, but felt very good about our decision after arriving. The hotel staff was extremely pleasant, most everyone spoke English very well. The rooms were very clean and decorated nicely. I felt very secure here as the beach is almost very secluded, and private with it's own security. The actual hotel is older, but we were automatically upgraded upon arrival to one of the newer villas overlooking the beach. Although the flags were red for most of our visit, the lifeguard was very attentive to those of us who decided to swim anyway! The property, pools, and resteraunts were very romantic, and well-kept. I would recommend dining in the Blue Bayou as it was reasonably priced. The Buffets and other resteraunts could be slightly expensive, but quality of food was good. Resort is located RIGHT in front of a convenient bus stop and shops and resteraunts are in a comfortable walking distance. Would highly recommend staying here!

Although this ia a beautiful hotel the mechanical functions of this hotel are poorly maintained. Bathtub did not drain, toilet was leaking water on the floor, mirrors were dirty, and we found cigarette butts under the bed and full cigarette ash trays on the balcony. Upon complaining - no one ever showed up to clean or repair the problem.

I reserved a beach front room at the Hyatt Cancun Caribe resort, after arriving I went to the room and discovered none of the lights worked except for 2 of them, the ceiling fan did not work and I couldn?t get any hot water. I complained to the front desk and asked for a regular room in the main building which is a lower rate, the employee was very helpful who I had spoken to, she contacted the night manager and explained my complaint and request for a different room. Well the night manager said I could change rooms but I would need to sign a form that says I will continue to pay the higher room rate for the beach front room for the rest of my stay. I thought that was very a disrespectful and an unprofessional way to treat a costumer when the hotel was at fault, so I left the next morning and stayed at the Hilton for the remainder of my stay. The Hilton was great! I can?t think of anything bad about my stay there. The Hyatt really needs to invest in repair and the upkeep of their property.

Very disappointed stay. Something from the bed or towels causing the kids to be itchy. Room is moderate despite of being in newer "premier" ocean front room. The only good thing is the view of the ocean, but that would be the same from most of other hotels' similar category rooms. Would not go back to this hotel or to recommend to friends/relatives.

Everything at the hotel is amazing. The location is great because it's not far from the fun but you don't have to worry about all the party people when you're trying to sleep. The beach was great and breath taking. The shower kept having pressure and temperature issues. But other than that we didn't have any problems. House keeping brings you free bottled water in the morning. Food and drink at the hotel were very expensive, 4-5 per beer. I would go again in a heartbeat.

Like any hotel, the food is expensive. They don't allow outside food or drink in the hotel, but I just carried it in sneakily and was fine. Another person told us that they stopped him with his food though. Lame. The pool is nice, the beach is great. If you swim out a ways, there is a wall underwater that you can stand up on. It's a decent swim out to it though. The maid was excellent. We kept our expensive stuff in the safe. Beachfront balcony had a beautiful view. The bus system is cheap cheap cheap and easy to use and has a stop right out front of the hotel. There's a club across the street, but the main strip of clubs and restaurants is down a little ways: a short walk or a very quick busride (for 6.5 pesos or about 65 cents). If you plan to do any excursions (I would highly recommend you do some), do NOT pay for it in the hotel. Walk down to the main restaurant/club region and buy the tour from someone on the street. If you are going to Xcaret (a beautiful nature park with snorkeling and animals) then the price should be 109 for a day trip including transportation and the Xcaret PLUS entrance (plus includes towels and equipment). Anyway, we payed 109 on the street and the hotels best offer was 136. Everyone is deceptive to tourists, ask around before you settle on one price.

This was an overall great hotel, the staff were great! The only complaint would be the noisy club across the street that blasted their music until 3am.

Hotel staff was always very friendly and helpful. Very clean rooms. Wonderful pools. As with most nice hotels, it was expensive to get anything to eat or drink at the hotel, 3.50 for a cup of coffee, 16.00 for a hamburger, therefore usually went outside the hotel to eat and drink.

The only issue occurred at check-in when hotel clerks and the manager told us that we had only paid for 2 guests and needed to pay extra for the third person.

My husband and i stayed at the cancun caribe for our honeymoon and we got exactly what we wanted--water, sun, beach and great service. We were very disappointed however that after upgrading to a beach front room our only option was two double beds rather than the queen or king we anticipated. Also the hotel's great price is quickly understood after seeing the prices for food and drink. And we were hoping that there would at least be one night of live entertainment at the hotel but there wasn't. we still enjoyed ourselves because of our surroundings.

the hyatte caribe resort in cancun mexico was very beautiful and clean. my room had a perfect view of the ocean and i could step right out of my deck slide doors and take a few steps down right into the ocean. i loved the fact that every room had their own outside chairs right outside your patio door. my son got married at the hyatte resort and the hotel went above and beyoud making sure we were will taking care of. they accommodated us very good and always asked is everything to your liking? even though we were in another country the hyatte employees and managers made us feel right at home!! the location was perfict, right on the main hotel strip. this hotel had plenty of things for the family. yes, yes i would visit again and again or better yet i would take another dream escape to the hyatte caribe resort in cancun again and take my friends and family. and yes i would recommend this spot to others.

Overall I had a beautiful stay at the Hyatt Cancun Caribe. The view was beautiful, however there was some construction taking place. The construction was for a spa that I felt was much needed. I wouldn't mind coming back to see it when it is finished. The buses were coming ever 5 minutes, so there was no place I couldn't go for food, fun and clubbing.

I am 52 years old and travelled all my life. This was one of the best vacations in my lifetime! The Hotel is so clean and well organized, it has everything you may wish for. The staff is friendly, competent and helpful - it took them 10 minutes to relocate me from a room in the first floor, (where you cannot see the ocean because of the palm trees) to the highest, the sixth floor. My tips: 1.Try to get a room higher than the third floor for best ocean-view. 2. Take enough USDollar singles with You - You will WANT to tip these friendly and helpful people. 3. Do NOT and NEVER touch the phone: You will pay $ 5 for one MINUTE to call home ( USA or EUROPE). Your cell phone doen't work there, so buy prepaid phonecards. 4. Do not buy basics in the Hotel-store: A sun lotion for example is $15 and up - don't. Bring everything You will need with You. 5. If You have sensible feet, I recommend bathing shoes for the ocean, because you will find some stones and shells in the first meters of the oceansand. Other than that: The Hyatt will make your stay so pleasant as you can only dream: There is absolutely nothing negative to say.

We choose the Hyatt Cancn Caribe to celebrate our 10th anniversary and that it was beautiful. It has spacious hallways, a lot of natural light,it is breezy and open, but at the same time it has this modern-casual feeling on the amenities and on our room, which was a single king bed. The room was very spacious, we loved the ocean front view, the sound of the waves was amazing and very relaxing. I got a massage at the spa, wich I strongly recommend, it was awesome. The massage room has a glass wall that is facing to the beach and you can hear the waves, that was very relaxing too. The hotel is surrounded by everything you need to have fun. And we loved the locals they were very attentive, the service everywere we went was excellent. Go to Chichen Itza Tour, is very interesting. Overall... we would love to go back!
