This was a great place to stay for an introductory visit to Mexico City. The concierges were extremely helpful, courteous, and kind, and service on the whole was excellent. The spa was decent as well. The location is very good, as many key areas are easily accessible, including the historic center, the park containing the Anthropology Museum, and the ritzy Polanco neighborhood as well as good restaurants in the Zona Rosa neighborhood (the acclaimed Fonda El Refugio is about a 10-15-minute walk). Buses frequently run down Paseo de Reforma toward the center, and the subway is just a few blocks away. Rooms are decent sizes, clean, comfortable, with two small free bottles of water daily. Housekeeping arrives in the evenings with fresh fruit and (sometimes) chocolate. Room service was well executed. The hotel bar and lobby restaurant are both pretty good. Nothing bad to say about this place; great value for money. If I were to come to Mexico City again, though, I might stay in an area closer to the historic center. Not sure, though.

The most important aspect of this hotel was its staff. They treated us like we were visiting their home instead of their hotel. They were very caring and sincere people, eager to please and eager to make you feel like family. They made sure we were safe, at all times. They told us where we should and should not walk or even ride in a taxi. Each day a special car was waiting for us and the driver stayed with us during our daily sightseeing. Never did we feel unsafe. The room was beautiful and always perfectly attended to. This hotel cannot be beat. The food was outstanding, even the salad dressing was made tableside. We tried many new food preparations and were pleasantly surprised. We are well traveled and would not hesitate to return to this fabulous hotel should the occasion arise.

The Marquis lives up to the hype. Close to everything. The room was spacious, well stocked & the service was impeccable. minor complaint is that the pool should be free, I understand paying for the spa.

The Marquis Reforma is in an excellent location for visiting major sites in Mexico City. It is a medium size hotel and primarily caters to business persons but is very friendly to tourists. Check in is very efficient. Food on premises is good. Fitness center and spa are excellent. Consierge service is extremely helpful in obtaining tours, reservations and private cars and taxis. Rooms are very clean; excellent shower and bathroom and maid service. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

I liked the Marquis Reforma for its quiet elegance and friendly staff. I chose it for it's full service spa and I was not disappointed. The well trained massage therapist took wonderful care of my stressed out body! The excellent staff showed 5 Star qualities in every little thing they did. I particularly enjoyed the down comforter on my bed as Mexico City was experiencing cold weather! Great stay, and great promotion!

The Marquis Reforma in Mexico City was a fabulous choice for our recent last minute trip. The Hotel was far better than we anticipated and the location was excellent. We were very impressed from the time we checked in until we left. The staff in all departments was courteous and helpful. I felt very pampered and could not believe our luck on finding such a wonderful Hotel at such a reasonable rate. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to go to Mexico City. The surrounding streets and park were very safe for walking and exploring during the daytime hours.
