This was my first time to stay at Mosquito Blue as well as to visit Playa. It was a very European feel, but is very intimate and beautiful! The rooms are smaller, but I would recommend getting a larger room or one with the balcony. It is great that it is a short walk to the beach where you can visit Mosquito Beach and try the best Guacamole ever!

Mosquito Blue is a beautiful hotel. The setting is romantic and the location is wonderfully central. The staff is super helpful and friendly and the pools are awesome. The only downside is that the club across the street is VERY noisy until 4am or so. Take earplugs! If you are looking for a quieter option Mosquito Beach, their sister hotel has opened recently and is quiet, beautiful and on the beach.

The Mosquito Blue Hotel in Playa del Carmen was very nice for a romantic get away. It was close to the beaches and next door to many of the good restaurants. The guys at the front desk recommended Xaxche which was a great spot for Mayan food. The pool was very cool with couches and art work and well maintained. The rooms were small but clean. We paid a little more than we wanted but it was worth a few more dollars. We would go back.

We enjoyed our recent stay at Mosquito Blue Hotel. The room was attractive, comfortable and clean. The pools and gardens were nice and the spa did not disappoint. The restaurant and wine bar are both excellent. We enjoyed the beach and restaurant at the sister hotel, Mosquito Beach. Mosquito Blue's location is convenient and we would definitely stay here again.

This is a great boutique style hotel in the heart of playa del carmen. It's a block away from the public beach, and surrounded by great dining. Wouldn't recommend it to families - but great for couples and singles.
