The building was very old and you could easily notice that the current owners didn't really care about upkeeping the hotel. We were charged an outrageous price for a hotel that was very old. As soon as you walk into the hotel lobby you get a strong bad odor resembling the odor of a sewer. Very dissapointed I really would recommend people to stay elsewhere. Now keep in mind that I was travelling on business and there were no other vacancies since the summer months are the high season for them.

While the location was okay and the Terrazza restaurant was very good, with very good food and quite reasonable prices, nothing else matched the info given on Travel agency. At this time there is no Trattoria Italian restaurant on site, no Roxy Disco, no dry cleaner/laundry, no golf course, and no convention center. There also was no convenience store, no nightly entertainment/disco, no A/C that we could tell, definitely no alarm clock, no iron, and no mini bar in the room. Obviously this didn't meet our expectations as far as what we'd read about the hotel info. For budget travelers, it's not all bad. Just be aware of what is actually offered.

We really enjoyed our stay. The Hotel had good food and a friendly staff. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. The environment was a relaxing and friendly one which is what we were looking for. The location was great-just far enough from the Golden Zone to be a little more quiet, but within walking distance

(1) a/c didn't work. I'm an experienced traveler and have stayed in many locations where a/c isn't even an option, so not a huge deal...at first. (2) safe in room jammed...with our passports inside. I told the hotel the night before as soon as I knew (about 8 pm), so that we could resolve the problem asap because our flight left the next day. I called repeatedly the next morning...they were so late getting there that we had to change our flights to the following day. (3) As we were packing, I looked under the mattress to make sure nothing had been left. HUGE blood stain! I will never stay at this hotel again! I don't mind an authentic cultural experience, but the service was horrible. We left the hotel and found another down the road.

It was the most dirty, most nasty hotel that we have ever stayed at. The beds were so hard that you couldn't get a good nights sleep. Nothing worse than wakeing up with a backache and your hips hurting at 2:00 A.M. The staff wa unaccomadating. We paid all inclusive and yet you had to pay extra for the in room safe, the T.V. remote and a alarm clock, which we was not even informed of. They did tell us about the safe which we paid $2.00 a day for. All inclusive??? One place to eat, the food was so so!! One kind of beer, no room service. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Not very happy.

The Air Con in our room did not work. The front desk told me that all the rooms were the same. I had the front desk guy take me to 10 other rooms. He was telling the truth. They gave me a fan. It sucked being hot for 6 days. I am talking 85 degrees in your room all the time. NOT AWESOME. There was a really cool homeless guy living in the empty lot next to the hotel. He was always drunk. He loved playing frizbee. I got stung by a bee on the beach in front of the hotel. Thank god I was drunk. My advice, pay a little more for a better hotel down the street. Pacifico tour equals free beer. Get some cool trinkets at the Pacifico Factory souvenior shop. Cheap.

Rooms were dirty, cockroaches and ants everywhere. The A/C did not work and they took me to several rooms and finally admitted that the A/C did not work in any of the rooms. The pool was disgustingly dirty and the staff seemed overwhelmed by the volume of complaints they were receiving. I have stayed at many Mazatlan hotels and this is by far the worst. I have also travelled to many third world countries in some very remote areas and this hotel is the worst of any hotel I have ever had the displeasure to stay at.
