The hotel was beautiful, the food was excellent, and the service was superb. We had an incredible time and we HIGHLY recommend this resort. This is a perfect resort for relaxation. We're looking forward to our next trip out there. I would recommend taking lots of one dollar bills for tips. The hotel staff (waiters, housekeepers, bartenders, etc...) deserve them. You will be impressed.

About Paradisus I have nothing but good things to say about it: the service is more than excelent and what to say about the food, the buffet was pretty great, even the snack grill was very good (hamburgers most of all) and the 4 different dining options were amazing, I'm not really into giving tips however every single member of the hotel deserved it. They have three different categories, one for families(Family Concierge), other called Royal Service (is pretty much the same tha the simple room, the main difference is you have your own jacuzzi in the room who also has sea view) and the ordinary room, but believe it is all but ordinary. I widely recommend this hotel. The fact that it is from Meli is a really proof of guarantee. Perhaps it is a little expensive, but believe me: it completely worths it.

Had a great time, the resort was beautifully put together, very well maintained, well staffed. wonderful food with a buffet that changes the menu each day, Clean, scenic and relaxed. Both families and couples will love this - maybe not perfect for anyone who intends to party all day but then the atmosphere will chill you out even if that is your intention. Only thing I did not like, wristbands to show you on the all inclusive deal - but you get used to them. Recommendations - try all the restaurants if you can but don't miss the Mexican and French ones.

Very friendly and accomodating staff. They do appreciate tips - any amount seemed to be appreciated. Beautiful, clean rooms. Beautiful oceanview and beautiful gardens and grounds. The food was fresh and very good.

We had a late arrival and were shown to a room with two double beds. Our reservation specified a king and the staff did their best to prepare a room that had not been made up that day (it was the only available with a king bed). Pool service and staff were great. The pool is large enough for the full census they had booked during our stay. Grounds and rooms were kept well by a large and efficient staff. Food was good and sometimes outstanding. The negative that every guest complained of was the requirement to stand in line for resevations at the specialty restaurants. There was only one staff member to serve hundreds of guests and the process was not fast. We have stayed at Paradisus Playa Conchal in Costa Rica several times and had nowhere near the delay that we suffered in Cancun. Different management could be the reason. Bar service was good and the liquors were top shelf. Last complaint... the mini-bar was not stocked daily and we had to call several times.

The food was excellent, but restaurants fill up quickly. Definitely don't miss the French restaurant as it was great. The value for the money at the Pardisus is amazing. This was our first All-Inclusive stay and we'd definitely recommend it. Friendly staff, good accomodations (though the bed was like sleeping on a board). The lobby is a nice place to just relax. Very open and airy with live music in the evening. If your looking for a party resort, this isn't it. But if you're looking to kick back and relax, this is the place. Plan on getting up VERY early if you want a place in the shade by the pool. Some reviews have questioned the family friendliness of the place, but there were lots of kids around and there was a designated kids pool and play area. We didn't splurge for the Royal Service, but it would have been nice for the benefit of the private pool itself. Overall, a good place to enjoy some time in Mexico.

Our entire group loved this resort. Beautiful lobby, pool. and surroundings. I have been to many resorts, but this is the best. The food was excellent, a different restaurant every night if you wanted. Bar staff was great and the quality of alcohol very good!!! Room service was very quick and front desk very helpful. The rooms were very nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. Would recommend it to anyone. We are all going back next January with even more people. The Super Bowl was going to be played 3 days after we left and the Sports Bar and lobby were decorated with both teams, very neat!

The Paradisus was a great experience. The staff was friendly and courteous. The room condition was nice and the food was fantastic. The french restaurant was the best followed by the Italian restaurant. Overall the beach was a great place to soak up some sun but there are rocks once you get into the water which is the only negative to the resort. In all fairness every resort I have stayed at in the area has a rocky beach. I would recommend this resort to couples and families since its overall service can appeal to either.

certain facilities not open due to it being "non-peak" season...such as sports bar not open with MLB pennant games going on....however staff could watch soccer matches in the afternonn while on their work breaks.....occupany rate was quite low approximately 20 % full but bar service still slow....food was good but not great....ie friut on breakfast buffet was not ripe and lacked any taste.....liquor selection and choices were very limited...one gin choice & one vodka choice only...no bourbon at all....very few premium pours....overall beverage service was weak.....food service and quality was good but had some holes....front desk staff tried hard but there was a strong language problem understanding customer requests...had a pleasant stay but would not returm or recommend....suspect that when facility is crowded that things would be hectic and service would be real slow as things were only so so with very low occupancy rate

The Paradisus Riviera Cancun was a beautiful property with excellent dining choices. Unfortunately, there was a reservation system for dinners (this tainted things for me a little)- you could only book for 2 nights in advance and that meant that you had to be in a line at 9am in order to get a good time for dinner and at the restaurant that you want. The beach was beautiful and the water warm. There is sea grass, but truly to enough to bother us while swimming. The pool was very large and not really warm, but on a hot day, it doesn't matter. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. the food was great, the hotel lobby is beautiful with great ambience.

While the hotel and the food was good quality the entertainment was less than desirable. We talked to the management and the told us that the disco was in renovation (closed) the only music they had available was near to classical music at the lobby. the only music was t 9:00pm with a live band but was only for two hours. If you reason to go to this hotel is to totally "disconnect" this is your place but if your intention is to "disconnect" and have fun and dancing all day long do not waste your time here like we all did. Everyone (guest) that we talked to, with no exception, no one will go back to this hotel. We have visited many Melia hotels and this is the worse and that's explained the fact that it was running, at best, at 30 % capacity. Such a big resort and so few peoples. We even ask if the were closing the place and we told that this was the low season and they did not have many guest, however the poeple at the nest door hotel was packed and having tons of fun and activities. I would not go back and i'm considering stay away from the Melia hotels.

Great place for a quick getaway. Prety good food but a very limited menue. Got in at noon but waited until 3:30 to check in to our room. If you are a beer drinker, you better like Corona.(it is the only beer they offer)

We have stayed at the Paradisus in Punta Cana and found this location equal if not better. Having the Royal Service was the best thing we did. The large central pool was wonderful and full of music and excitement that the younger crowd and families are interested in. Where as the Royal Service gave the older folks a more quiet relaxation. At the same time we had access to the other pool and did take advantage of it. Service, food, and location was everything we could have hoped it to be. Highly recommend it.

The Paradisus Riveria Cancun is one of the best resorts in the Caribbean. The grounds and resort are outstanding. The food is wonderful and the pool is one of the largest that I have ever seen. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The biggest complaint was the amount of seaweed on the beach. However, the resort itself made up for this one minor complaint.

I am glad that I read other comments - We loved the hotel, Pools and, the specialty eating options were superior!!! nothing compared to other all inclusive resorts we had stayed at. We also did the 50 1$ bills, and are glad that we did - we then recieved the best tables and faster drink service. We were also glad to know that the people selling time shares are affiliated with the hotel and are a pain. The driver was not familiar with the hotel and drove us for 45 minutes out of the way and had to turn around and redrive us the 45 minutes back to the paradisus, It was a long travel day, but worth the extra time - we had a great vacation!!

Everything at the Paradisus was perfect. The rooms were large and cleaned twice a day. We loved the food & especially the top shelf liquor. We were pleasantly surprised to have snorkel trips leave the resort twice a day, included in the trip. The fish were fantastic and brightly colored! There were many children & were well behaved. We could always find a quiet spot, even in the pool. We loved the beds along the pool. Everything was perfect. We can't say enough great things! We met fantastic friends & everyone was extremely friendly, especially the staff.
