we were very disappointed in the hotel...facility was clean but you were on a clock on when you could or could not eat. rather stay at a regular hotel and pay for my own meals and eat when i want. and there are only two pools...not the best of amenities.

Good value for the money. The room was fairly average, the beds are firm, but I like that. The staff was GREAT, they went out of their way to be helpful and love it if you try to speak a little Spanish. The location and the pools were great and we never had a problem in finding a chair. At checkout they told us to keep our bracelets for the all inclusive until the van came for us and then they would take them, so we could have lunch first. I recommend the Italian restaurant, the service and food are good and they had a cello player on the nights we went, which gave it a romantic feel. There were many families with children and there seemed to be a lot of activities for them.

This hotel is full of outrageous regulations. First and foremost, absolutely NO guests of yours are allowed to be in your room. I had a friend over, and they actually had a security guard come upstairs and physically escort us into the hotel lobby. They were not at all lenient about it. another crazy regulation is that the beach closes at 7, when there is still sun out. again, a security personnel would come to the beach and not leave until everyone is out of the water. We ended up going a quarter mile down and swimming at some other hotel's beach. On the positive side, the hotel is indeed clean. the cleaning staff and restaurant staff were all very cordial and friendly. the food at the buffet is not bad, but does get very repetitive after a few days. they have a more fancy Italian restaurant, drinks, appetizers were good, but the food was very average. I really do not recommend this hotel, but I suppose it is ok for travelers with young kids as they do have a nice swimming pool, and some kids activities at night. The location of the hotel was in the middle of the hotel zone, but too far of a walk to the clubs.

I want to start by saying that I am not sure how anyone could review the Park Royal as anything but great. From the time we arrived, everything was beautiful. DO NOT listen to the negative reviews. Those people are never happy with anything. With that said, I can't tell you all the great things about the place. Presidential suite was great. Very large, quiet, the terrace with the jacuzzi was awesome. Staff: We did not come across one negative staff member. They have staff everywhere, there to please you. The wait staff are the best: nice, gracious, helpful. We adored Felix at the buffet. Always smiling. If you want something, ask. They will get it for you. Food: Something for everyone. The italian restaurant is excellent. The wine was very good there. Bars: Fine, no complaints whatsoever. Their margaritas are the best. a small tip will go a long way. ( true of all the staff). *** bring singles. we ran out but just spent more to get change. Other than the airport, NO ONE bothered us about the time shares. Walk away from anyone who stops you at the airport . Take the bus or cabs. They are equally reasonable and safe. WE went on the Albotros tour to La Isle Mujeres. It was a great tour. NOT as much snorkling as I hoped but they are there to please. This resort is beautiful. The grounds are gorgeous and they are working and cleaning all the time. We heard 1 hammer in 5 days from the construction. The beach is beautiful and you can body surf all day long. It is nice they have a private pool for the adults. There are activities all day and night. 5 star in my book.

The hotel was better than I expected. Cleaner than any of the others I have ever been to in Mexico. The location was good the food was good for all inclusive and the service, yes the service. It was great everywhere but in housekeeping. It was a hassle getting your room cleaned. Too many towels not enough towels Do not distrib sign didn't mean anything to them.On and on. One thing that was very beautiful but annoying was the marble everywhere. It was so noisy in the halls from the echos bouncing off the marble. But I loved it!!!

The hotel was very nice including rooms, pools, service areas. I felt the food at the buffet was above average with a lot of variety and good quality. We ate at the Italian restaurant once and it was excellent. The drinks had a lot of alcohol in them and they had Corona on tap. The beach was nice and we could actually get in the water. A good experience.

The hotel was very nice. It was in a great location. There are a lot of things to do that are within walking distance of the hotel. There was a nice selection of food at the buffet, and the Italian restuarant was amazing. The hotel was very clean as was our room. The pool and the beach are very nice. The waves were strong enough to knock you down at the beach. My major complaint was that it was extremely loud in our hotel room. We could hear almost everything our neighbors were doing and the PA system by the pool woke us up on several occasions. There were also a ton of kids at the hotel who kept ringing the doorbells which also were very loud. If you are wanting a more adult or quiet environment, this hotel is not for you.

This is not a 4 star hotel. There are actually only 2 pools not 3 as advertised unless you count the kiddy wading pool as the third. The food was mediocre and basically what was not consumed on the previous day showed up in another form the next day. Soup was clearly made from leftovers and there was little variety to the meals. There was no service at the pool so if you want a drink you have to go get it yourself. The staff are not friendly and they really do not want to take American money. This is an old hotel that lives up to the saying "You get what you pay for".

Park Royal Cancun was a good place to choose to stay on Cancun. The staff was very friendly and the room was a nice one with comfortalble stuff. I wish i cold stay more than one week next time! The pool area has an wonferful view to the beach. The food and drinks all inclusive make one to wish to stay in the hotel all the entire vacation!

Park Royal was a great first experience in Cancun. All inclusive was great and affordable. The staff was friendly. This is not the best spot for the spring break crowd, but if you are looking to just go and have fun, I definately reccomend it. The immediate access to the beach was huge HUGE plus!

The Park Royal was a great hotel for the money I spent. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is very polite and always very helpful, the food was great; always something for everyone. (If your going to cancun not to eat Mexican food then Cancun is not for you.)The grounda of the hotel are very well kept, including both pools. I enjoyed the adult pool, quiet and relaxing away from the kids!If you want to take a walk, the hotel is centrally locayed. In front is a shopping center called La Isla, If you take the bus right in front for 60 cents and get off five minutes later you'll be in the club and restaurant strip. I think this hotel was great and I would definetly go back. The only negative about the hotel which really didn't bother me was that the entertainment crew did not entertain, kind of boring.

When we first arrived we had to wait 3+ hours for a room. When I got to the room there was no iron, ironing board or hair dryer. When I called they sent one up but it was gone within hours again. I guess they had only one hairdryer that was shared, my opion. The next day our room wasn't cleaned until we called at 5:00 pm. But after that it was cleaned every morning. The staff that works there couldn't have been better. There wasn't a bar in the building we stay in. We had to go to another building or to an outside bar to get our drinks. The hotel and grounds were spotless. The staff were more than friendly and helpful. It's too bad they made a poor first impression with me.

Park Royal was a great value for the money. Kind of a middle of the road choice for both location and value. I'm sure there are much grander/larger resorts, as well as, much less appealing ones. We stayed in a Presidential suite ... what a view and 2 full baths! The room, lobby, dining rooms and grounds were very clean and well kept. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Fresh bottled water and towels daily. Beds firm, but not as bad as what I was expecting from some of the reviews. For a buffet, the food was very good, not great, and a little repetitive by the end of the week. Pool snack bar was great for lunch. Small tips here and there in the dining room and bars go a long way! Nice dinner in the Italian rest...tried the filet mignon based on other reviews...great steak! Corona on tap only beer choice, but it was cold and fresh limes always available. Good liquor selection. We had our share of the Bacardi and Jose... Easy walk to La Isla Mall, Kulkacan Mall, Flamingo Plaza and the major shopping and nightclub area..or..the bus is very convenient and easy to use. 65cents takes you anywhere you want. We used the Greyline shuttle/good service. Also, booked an excursion to Cozumel with them. Good trip and snorkeling was great, but think we paid more than we should have ($95/pp) so check around. Also, don't recommend the bullfights for the faint of heart or children. They really do kill the bull! Pageantry if cool before hand, but the bull doesn't stand a chance! Only cons at Park Royal...the PA system by the pool was loud and annoying at times. Difficult to understand what was going on, especially if you are at the adult pool up top. Also, didn't seem to make much sense that the swim up pool bar was in the family pool, in the shade?! Nice beach compared to some hotels though. Definitely would stay again. Worth asking for the upgrade to have the balcony.

Me and my wife choose a Park Royal hotel not only for vacation spot but also as a place when want celebrate our 25 wedding aniversary and that was most rightful choice we can make.Hotel was very nice all service wonderful and never in our life we meet workers to be so polite, food buffet was so full of choices everyday that we was only able to eat breakfast and dinner becouse we dont have a room in our stomack for lunch food was always fresh and very good, room clean and roomy tastful decor, beach beautiful only complain that was very windy another plus we have fun watch eguanas and lizards which was coming close to turist in hope to cutch some chips, across the street is shopping center but if anyone want to experence some more local flavor downtown Cancun market is just few bus stop farder...we have a wonderful week at Park Royal Cancun and we will recomend to anyone and if we ever decide to come back i will not go any place else.

Nice spacious room, only problem I encountered was getting enough wash clothes for persons in room. We had 4 people and everyday we were only left 2, so we had to call the front desk and request more. The only other thing was somehow water leaked on the floor from the shower and I think it was seaping down the sides because of the layout of it. So after every shower we had to damp up the water with towels. Great location on hotel zone.

I have been to Cancun several times, and this was my first all inclusive. I was quite satisified with the property. The rooms were new and clean, with nice bathrooms. The food was quite good, and you can get most anything you want to drink, with good selection of liquors. I was travelling alone, and it was fun to meet people, as the bars, pool, lobby bar made it a good place to mingle. I would definietly stay there again, especially if by myself, or with friends. The 2 pools were a bit smallish by Cancun standards, but the beach here was really nice by Cancun standards (many properties the beach is very narrow and rocky). The staff were always courteous and helpful, and checkin and checkout were excellent.
