After patronizing the Playacar Palace Resort In Playa del Carmen, I am convinced the staff must love their work. The customer service was unparalleled and friendly. All staff members took a special interest in making your stay most enjoyable. There is a shuttle bus running every 15 minutes to the Spa (very efficient) where I spent most of my days. I take only spa vacations, yet enjoy the variety a resort hotel offers. Afterwards, one could lounge in the bar, restaurant, nightly entertainment or simply sit and view the ocean. The location of the resort was very accessible to shopping and entertainment. One could walk from the resort (with a cane no less) and be in the hub of activity. Staff remembered my name were friendly and often went beyond the normally expected customer service. I highly recommend this resort.

We had too much fun!!! Although the first two days were overcast and rainy, there were still plenty of activities offered at the resort to keep us busy. The resort is very well maintained. The entire staff are eager to serve and are very friendly. The spa and golf are not on site, however they are within a 5 minute shuttle drive. The food was great and the beds were comfy. The only draw back is the fact that there is no beach on the property. There are plenty of seats at the pool area, but if you want sandy beach, you have to take a short walk, which for most is no big deal because you need to walk off all of the food that you end up eating. Would I return? IN A HEART BEAT!!! Thank You Playacar Palace, we had a blast.

We chose this hotel for the location(close to town and the Cozumel Ferry) and also to be able to use the other Palace resorts. Upon check in, they said they were full so we were upgraded to a minisuite which was a nice surprise. It was a large beautiful room with gorgeous views. For an all inclusive I thought the food was fine. The staff are fantastic! The resort itself lacked for us the ambience we like. It seemed a little sterile in its decor, but that is just a personal opinion and not a criticism. Overall, I would recommend Playacar Palace.

We were there during the "off season" consequently we had incredible service, wonderful food, very nice room, and spectacular view without the crowds. In fact that was what was so amazing about our trip. Everything was managed as if in height of tourist season, from beautiful buffet breakfast to luxurious ice carvings at any of the wonderful restaurants. The entertainment director was fun, but not obnoxious in encouraging participation. Plenty of activities, but more importantly plenty of relaxation was provided. Plus the location was ideal. Less than a 5 minute walk to wonderful shopping at Playa del Carmen, 2 minute beach walk to the ferry to go to Cozumel, and easy drive to Tulum. Plus you could always take the shuttle or drive to a number of the other Palace Resorts. We will definitely be returning!

the Playacar palace was very nice. the food choices were a bit limited but what was offered was very good. the room were clean and room service was offered twice daily which was nice. there were plenty of pool chairs. on the down side there was no beach. the pool was smaller than what i expected but certainly tolerable. it was only one short block to Playa's 5th avenue shopping area which was wonderful

We went with 2 other couples and had anexcellent time!! We go every year to Cancun, but took my brother and his wife for 1st time. ONLY problem we had is that there were sooo many kids. We left our kids with grandma. But still had an excellent time. GREAT LOCATION!! % minutes from shopping, water taxi to Cozumel, nightlife!!!
