This is what a five star hotel is. It caters heavily to business people during the workweek and casual dress looks out of place.

The hotel can accommodate business or leisure guests with ease and comfort. I have stayed in Sheratons before but this appeared to be a much better run and maintained Sheraton than others. A credit to the hotel chain.

The Sheraton Centro Historico Hotel & Convention Center in Mexico City is an ultra-modern facility with a very curteous and professional staff. It is very close to shopping, museums & food. Their is also a large park across the street that has many flea market style vendors and entertainment to enjoy. Generally the staff at the hotel was readily available and willing to speak to me in english since my spanish is aweful. The only con was the batroom. The shower design was very poor and for some reason you could never keep water from rushing out the sides and onto the floor. Everytime I took a shower the floor would collect huge puddles.

You will be surprised and impressed at this hotel. Great bar in the lobby. Concierge is knowledgeable and professional. Overall a great hotel. Best Sheraton I have stayed at and would recommend for both the business traveller as well as the vacationer.

The Sheraton in Mexico City was very nice and a great departure from the actual city itself. The hotel was situated in a nicer (safer) part of town. We had a wonderful corner room for a great deal. We also ordered room service, which came up promptly, and was super tasty! The wc was separate from the rest of the vanity and shower area, which was super nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in a nicer area in Mexico City.

The lobby and room are kept very clean and staff were attentive. We had wonderful experiences throughout our stay. The only thing that needs improvement is the hotel's concierge service. When we asked about public transportation they did not give too much information and often recommended hotel cab, which is very, very expensive. With the kind of customers they have at the hotel that is understandable but if customer asked for a certain question they should give the info they are looking for. But overall, our stay was confortable and we would definitely go back.

They will charge for everything. Bottel of water, parking etc., the restaurants very expensive. If you wanted to go to eat something wil have to ask for another restaurant.

The hotel is located within walking distance of El Palacio de Bellas Artes a main theater/attraction. Is in the old part of Mexico, where you can appreciate a lot of the colonial buildings and monuments. It's right in front of the Alameda Park or plaza, where you can enjoy cultural events and crafts shops. Being a non-smoker, I was put off by the smell of cigarettes in the room. I'm not sure if I specifically asked for nonsmoking or not, but I'll be sure to check this next time. There was no pool, and no continental breakfast was included. Overall it was a good value for the money. We will probably stay there again, and I would definitely would like to go back to Mexico City.

The Sheraton Centro Historico is a relatively new hotel and most comfortable. Very upscale and clean with a most friendly and professional staff. The service was very efficient with modern but very tastefully decorated rooms. The only downside was that the two primary restaurants close very early on weeknights making it a bit difficult for the business guest to have dinner after 6:30PM. However, there is an acceptable room service menu. Once again, this service was excellent and speedy, something not always associated when ordering from room service! Another plus was the fact that this hotel obviously caters to business travelers; I did not see one child during my entire stay which made for a very calm and quiet atmosphere. For a very comfortable stay with some of the city's oldest and most grand architecture surrounding this hotel, I recommend it highly.

The Sheraton Centro Historico was the perfect place for this traveler's tourist visit to Mexico City because it is located within easy walking distance of the City's main sites and yet it also provides a comfortable, quite place of repose. So it's so easy to get out and experience the City's attractions yet convenient to get back to the hotel for a quick, quiet rest. I especially enjoyed its various restaurants (from the slightly formal to the quite informal) and found the bar and coffee shop wonderful places to relax. The hotel staff was proficient and especially attentive. Even after being there only a day I was greeted by name when entering the lobby! And it has a travel agency and an American Express store on the 2nd floor -- a real plus for the tourista.

Great hotel in the historic part of town which makes it ideal to explore the old and colonial part of Mexico city's Downtown. Traffic and street closings during demonstrations can be a problem but it is in many parts of the city as well. Would stay here again.

It's a new hotel built on the place the old Regis hotel was built, it got comfort and good hospitality for tourist, the only thing is that is not secure to be outside the hotel at late ours, but as a place to rest and know the old down town area it's ok.

We were welcomed by the staff after we arrived. We had a room on 21 th floor. The view was beautiful. The location was perfect for us - cross street from the park, walk to historical sites and close to shopping and dining places.

Either you use the costly facilities to fulfill your stay or do your stuff outside. Call in the morning for the daily newspaper, it is free; in minutes you will have a properly uniformed bell boy delivering it. The seclusion ends when you walk outside the hotel, for the novice it may be overwhelming, for the sophisticated; time to get a hotel taxi. For the adventurous the fun begins!

In general, we have enjoyed the stay. I hope that the internet connection in the room will become available for free of charge.

It was a lovely hotel in a perfect location across from Alameda Park. The rooms were a good size and well appointed. The music that floated through the lobby from the coffee shop was too loud and obnoxious! The front desk staff and the concierge staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I'm sure that it didn't hurt that my fianc is fluent in Spanish, though. After winning the Sheraton Centro Historica (at a great price) was a little taken aback to read in Fodor's 2008 Mexico edition that there was no elevator (not true) and that the halls were hung with old photos of the area (not true). But minor points, that Fodor's needs to address.
